Interesting. Might look at the tailgate cover, not sure if needed. Time will tell.
It really depends on what you're going to use it for. Since I go camping so much, the flat work space and cup holders made a ton of sense. But if you're going to do a ton of work out of the bed (like hauling lumber or bags of concrete) the foam liner could get ripped up over time.
I like the idea of this product as it seems a lot easier on the knees than the stock cover. Curious how the foam material holds up over time with normal truck wear/tear (loading, unloading, etc.). Any insights?
I have one on my previous truck and on my current truck and I haven't had any issues, but I am SUPER careful because I'm worried about the same thing. I mostly use my vehicles for camping/overlanding so I have a drawer system in the back and don't really use it to haul lumber or anything. I would say that foam would be torn and cut pretty quickly with heavy use like that, but with careful use, I haven't had any damage or cuts in mine yet.
I'm about to go with this on the Tundra, was looking for videos on install and saw a familiar face ha
Haha, they're great! I loved mine on the old truck.
Looks good nice install
Thanks! It's pretty handy!

@@midnightadventureswa Exactly.
Billie Bars make a very good product. I’ll have to look into this. I had only seen it for the taco.
Yeah, I've looked at Mountain Hatch versions, but I think they were over $400 so I felt like this was a pretty good price for it and I've always heard good things about Billiebars.
@@AllThingsOverlanding … I’ll probably be putting a roofnest tent in their bed bars which I’ve had on for over a year now.
@@firstpathfrontier Nice! I've got a buddy with a Gladiator that has their bed rack and he loves it. Said it was also super easy to install and is super stout.
@@AllThingsOverlanding I like the height. The tent should be at or just above cab height once installed so I can still garage it and use St. Paul parking ramps for work.
@@firstpathfrontier Must be nice. I can't fit in my own garage or any parking garages, :D. I rub on some drive throughs, haha.
Like it but...I'm a tinkerer😊. If ya bring me a "void", I make something of it. This cover should increase in depth and with a hinge(d) doors for ???, well, you know. You've seen likewise in movies for???'s. Put plastic molds into gate holes for??? then extend in 2.5-3 inch for??? (closed). Add buffering when opening/closing assist (heavy?) wired of course. Your new "??? truck" is optimized.
Good ideas!
