i think yuri alpha would be best, or beta perhaps because of her outgoing personality except that shes too sarcastic and sadistic type..
During season 2 she was the only maid that didn't learn humans names to the point her sisters asked if she had a mental problem

Yuri Alpha would have been the better choice. She looks human, her alignment means she won't massacre anyone (randomly) and she's socially competent .. would've been less funny though.
She isn't some kind of a caster tho. With Nabe being a magic caster it balances the team
@@GG-xm2cm Even with a caster the team isn't balanced. There's no rogue to scout, detect and disarm traps. No cleric / divine caster to support, buff and heal either. With just two members there was never a chance to balance the team.
But then again balance was never the aim, Ainz is out there gathering information and making useful contacts as his primary objective. If faced with a high-level threat, he'll quickly gather intel on it then retreat .. he says as much too.
Lupus would also had work especially the sadistic healer story
Yuri would be good in theory but i see servant nature may be hard to hide but socially she's perfect
Albedo wouldn't have allowed Shalltear to be Ainz' adventure companion. The two of them were already vying for first wife status, and to let Shalltear obtain that extra bonding time would be inexcusable.
I think Yuri Alpha and Lupusregina Beta would be better then Narberal for a interaction perspective not a storytelling one. Yuri could act very professional and without the glasses and a change in the hair she would be very good and Lupusregina has problems but she can hide what she things very well and even if she make mistakes I think she is funny enough to pass things as a joke.
I like Narberal shes the best
i thought sebas and solution was going on with investigation so they can't even go with ains. But i love he took naberal with him it add to funny moment how she jump on everything and that ains sannnnn talk🤣

I don't think it was a complete mistake but was she the best person for the job? No. I think the best candidates for the job would've been Sebas, Yuri Alpha, Aura, or Mare. Sebas could've just changed his appearance and I think he would be way better at acting on his own than Narberal. Yuri being second in command is just as capable as Sebas and has the mannerisms to boot. Aura has a good demeanor and instincts while Mare is a little shy but is very wise and can handle himself during an assignment even while alone better than one would expect.
Some of the other mates are Tamar but it wouldn't have given us epic fight scene at the end, come on

I mean potentially he could have chose CZ and aren’t they all stronger than the average human too. It would also give some interesting writing for the contrast between his dark plans and events as Ainz. Ainz could also protect his aide if really needed.
Albedo and Shalltear wouldn’t work with all their hate for humans. This is a good discussion though.
Also I do think there are adventurers in other anime like Narbaral in other adventure anime.
Lupusregina is iffy since she could follow orders but she’s sadistic and tortures humans.
Also we have seen how Sebas would go against orders to follow his male MC shojo manga protagonist programming. If a woman was threatened or harmed whether it’s another party or a victim, he could act against Ainz’s orders
I believe that she was the only option she is a magic caster and looks human the only other options was cz or yuri but they are not magic users and cz weapon is a gun and that would be bring unwanted attention
Ainz did later ponder that Lupisregina Beta would’ve been a better choice. She would’ve been more social than Narberal Gamma, but it would have been tricky to explain the ears and possible sadism.

Sebas punching an ogre's face off would have caught all the attention away from the weaker melee class Momon. Momon would still be a mystery of strength. But Sebas is unarmed and wouldn't even have flashy armor.
Can you imagine how fast Sebas would wreck those skeletal dragons instead of Narberal?
