Toyota Rav4 “Engine Maintenance Required” Fix

This video shows a 2020 Toyota Rav4 coolant bypass valve replacement. This fixed my “engine maintenance required” message on my dashboard. This is a very common problem and fix. Some years even have a recall related to this part, so check your VIN and see if you qualify for the free replacement before buying the part and doing it yourself. Good luck.

Did you have to use a hose clamp on the bottom of the valve with the rubber hose?thx

I didn't replace hoses or bleed anything. I just put everything back together. The maintenance light has been off for months now, no issues.

Can't seem to buy just the valve part from Toyota without the hoses attached.
