Wouldn't be the first time. There was that episode where Gowron rewrote the history books saying that he alone is responsible for his chancellor ship, leaving out the part where the Federation helped him defeat the Duras sisters and the Romulans.

This scene truly makes me hate Gowron. He asks Worf to come with him, but doesn't really give him a choice - threatens everything his House has left. And when Worf refuses, Gowron out of pettiness ruins his family. Absolutely no honour whatsoever. Gowron the backstabbing politician!

Myself I'm a big Growon fan but but something that is a blink and you'll miss it type of moment are how he always tries to turn situations to his advantage.
When he was running for leader of the High Council he tried to temp Kalar with a command of her own, or a seat on the council.
After the Klingon Civil War he want Tural dead but wanted someone else to do and gave it to Worf who said no and was about ready to let Kern kill the boy when Worf said, "you gave me his life and I have spared it" honor being what it is Growon had to say fine.
We do see many times there are honorable Klingons like Worf then there are those that always scheme.
To me Growon at his best when he saved Quark from getting killed and even had to compliment him on his courage.

    • @pragmax

      1. The more renound warriors at your side, the more political clout you have.
      2. Worf is a killdozer when he gets going.
      3. Worf's unwavering sense of honor makes him useful and easy to manipulate under the right circumstances.
      4. He has Federation resources; handy when in a tight spot.

This is kinda like the situation of Japan at the end of ww2, the US could have left well enough alone to the most part and let the soviet union take everything japan owned minus potentially a few islands that they couldn't maintain control over in the south pacific.
Or we could go for broke and potentially gain an ally that would be stronger later, like now where Japan is rearming, this time on our side.
We also see this in a sense of veitnam, while I think we prob morally should have stayed out, us entering did help prepare them for china when they invaded a few years later. Our failure led to us having pretty good ties with veitnam today, we both understand everyone misunderstood the situation a lot and things went bad, and in the end we both know the real cause of us wanting to be there was china and russia, their reason for communism was unity of their country. If we both understood eachother the war would have most likley been different, we also may have lost more troops and veitnam not had it's own country.

@@chemp231Japan is rearming to what end? China will obliterate them swiftly, and Vietnam has taken a neutral stance hence why there are no us military bases, you westerners need to learn the entirety of South East Asia is NOT another NATO, never will be if you think so then you're delusional.
