      Cheers, yes very pleased, No smoke and the engine oil is so clear you can't see it on the dip stick. Big change from the old Ford's 😁😁😁

    Very nice. I have the same 6BT non-aftercooled engines in my boat.

    Man of many talents. I just can't believe my eyes when I saw the boat in your videos. My 2 main best hobbies; vw campervan and sailboats. I know yours is fishing boat but still boat is a boat.
    Can't wait to see your future videos when the season starts .
    Just want to ask you question about your vw T25 alloy wheels please. Which car's alloy wheels would fit T25 ? I'm in process of doing up mine and would like to change my steel wheels to alloy wheels with summer tyres and keep the old ones with winter tyres. I was thinking German cars but don't know which one would fit directly. I would appreciate it if you could let me know and I wish you the very best with your projects. I'm based in Mayo BTW . 👍👏✌🤞🤟🙏

      Thank you very much, It hasn't appeared on the channel yet but it will is my 106yr old Falmouth Quay punt. If you interested in a major boat restoration and bit of a read you can check out a blog I kept called Teals life in Ireland. As for the alloy wheel fitment, I have to look into that because I am tempted to get bigger wheels for ours.

    Have the same boat with the same engines. Have to build them in. I just painted them. What gearboxes are on your engines. And what ratio? My gearboxes are twin disc 506 with ratio 1.93:1 but dont line up with the shaft. Need a gearbox with the outlet in an angel. Nice job you did. 👌👍👍

      @@TheTinski07 ok, before there were 2 deutz engines in the boat. 280hp each. The where removed. Had water damage. Engine room 1/3 filled with rain water. Got 3 cummins 6bt 210hp with the boat. Just the wrong gearboxes. Its a 2 year project. Its a complete empty boat.

    What size boat? length and discplacement? Im building a 9.5m 5ton boat. my intension is to run two 6bt 12v too. Im intending to marinize second hand industial units rather than original marine units from cummins.

      Boat is a 12meter aquastar semi displacement. 9 tons unladen. Mine were Daf 45/55 truck engines with VE pumps. Industrial pumps will work fine. Industrial engines can have a ring ridge if run at set RPMs long term. Doubt it's much of an issue unless high hour engines

    Does a boat take in water and cool the engines then back out of the exhaust?

    • @TheTinski07
      @TheTinski07  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exactly it, basically uses a heat exchanger in place of a radiator then injects the water back in to the exhaust after the turbo. The exhausts are rubber and cooled by the water as well.

      @@TheTinski07 Then i've always wondered the propshafts on Yachts. Do they have seals on them to stop sinking?

    • @TheTinski07
      @TheTinski07  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea there's a lot of different types. Mine a simple packing glands, just a few wraps of a waxed type of rope that's compressed under a collar. These drip when in use and usually have a greaser attached that you give a turn at the end of the day. They need to drip in use to stay cool. There are other dripless versions that are basically a rubber seal.

    Was that fog or smoke coming out of those exhausts at 2000rpm?

    • @TheTinski07
      @TheTinski07  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's steam. They are cooled using heat exchangers which mean they cool the coolant using sea water which is then injected into the exhaust and exits through there. You get a little steam especially in cooler weather

    • @ralph9987
      @ralph9987 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TheTinski07 how cold was it? Most marine engines are cooled like that, but most boats don't "steam" like that once at op temp.

    • @TheTinski07
      @TheTinski07  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @ralph9987 She steams very little compared to a lot of them. This was early season so water temp about 10c and air about the same. She runs about 74c so you have relatively cool water being dumped into a fairly warm exhaust so there will be steam especially in cold weather
