Good afternoon friend! you could please point me to that office in miami Cumins can go buy a eating you have in ta publishing engine. I need to place a embarcion for fishing .. Thanks
Why do QSB and ISB 5.9 and 6.7 litre engines for commercial trucks and marine engines sound different to those found in Dodge pick up trucks? The 6.7 in this video 'Wails' just like a supercharger when it's given RPM. Like the 5.9 in the IVECO Eurocargo truck and the 6.7 in Biffs Trash bin Trucks. They all 'Wail' like a supercharger yet the Dodge 4x4 pickups don't do that and it's the same engine.
QSB is not emission compliant and doesn't have any after treatment system. The Ram trucks with the ISB have systems on the exhaust that block most of the engine noise.
Probably all the rest have fixed vane turbos and the single stage programming on the injectors whereas the emissions compliant 6.7 have multistage injection programming and vgt turbo
Do you think it may have something to do with the muffler design, or the complete lack of anything in this case ? You are looking and "hearing" at "nothing" after the turbo.. Tony
Mike torrance If the tune is setup right, it won't hurt it. In fact, in many states, you have to dry rev your motor to smog your vehicle. I've got a Duramax with 300,000 miles on it, and I've dry revved it more times than I can count.
This is the dumbest myth that won't go away .. diesel yeah, don't make power unless load is applied but if your cooling and oil system are being actively driven mechanically then it won't have any impact on the power internals. The same amount of wear would occur on a spark ignited engine with dry revving. In fact, for the most part, revving with no load actually introduced less stress forces into the internals so... why people keep on passing on this misinformation is beyond me ... especially with modern engine management tech and design.
All the marine Diesel engine start-up manuals I read all say rev to fast idle right after start then use the engine with moderate loads until fully hot. ( as all others here have said or implied don't low idle a cold Diesel to warm it up , it ain't going to get hot , only warm).
What's the price of something like that...?

Are those OSHA approved safety shoes @ 1:57?
ohshucks
I cringed at 1:35 and you're worried about his shoes?

I need one of those in my life 20 knot club
What is the price of this engine
Is this a certified hood test stand?
Yes definitely.
Sounds like diesel.
That's cause it is
Are these chipped as in drive by wire or do they have a throttle cable ...I need an easy install
No throttle cable
@@mcplutt except they are using a mechanically shifted gear on a digital motor not very sensible
There's no throttle in general... diesels are controlled through fuel metering of the injection rack...
@@scenicdepictionsofchicagolife Not mine
Nice work
Thanks

i cringe everytime you dry rev that motor its the worst thing you can do to a diesel

There's no way revving an engine to 2500rpm is going to hurt anything at all, that's a lot of paranoid hoo haa.
We do dry run too no problem at all...if oil a.d cooling sustem is setup properly no problem....it is just myth to be busted...
