And it's not just rising sea level. Limestone compresses with all those high rises now replacing two stories.
But when rain water, even in a thousand year event, coincides with high tide, it’s not good, I’m not exactly a believer in climate change, but they do need to understand what is in their soil layers before building. Sort of agreeing with both of you.

We have had hurricanes and tropical storms last longer than the storm we had that caused the flood in fort lauderdale and I can tell for a fact that some is responsible for these floods, not the weather. The sewer/ drainage system was not working properly that's a day and a half of rain caused so much damage. Please spread this message. They are not reporting on that fact.
