How to de immobilise Honda civic 99-00 ecu obd2b

Hey bro I have removed the immobilizer chip on an ek1 1999. Still getting the green key check light after inserting the key do you know what could be the problem? ecu flash possibly?

does this also work for the euro civic ecus? the british made ma/mb/mc chassis

all I can tell you is it works for obd2b Ek Ej , unsure about them unfortunately would need to check ecu code / have a go
