Not to be a downer but no one really cares about this podunk, and I'm tired of this "good to see Portland getting some love" discourse. It just frames this place plainly for what it is, a six-months-out-of-the-year mudslide with no real community. Just zip it and be happy when you see the local spots getting torn up in the next Polar video in 2026. Not to be a downer but for real, if you stay in Portland you'll end up being 40.
@@ducktales2020 Man, look around. Everyone here is either high school/college age and is moving somewhere sunny soon or they're Ricketty old punk rockers. Shit I'm not even 30 and I had a gray last week. Ok ok, I'm being a dick. All I'm really saying is that I want to see the small communities that the city does have, not people alluding to the community we wish we had or need to try to maintain or grow. This channel is honestly doing well with that. They just might roll through a few spots and crews and be kinda done.
@@tombskater3000 people of all ages live in every city on earth; what in the world are you talking about? it seems like you are going through a lot of insecurity about your own aging
I dont want to come from a bad spot or anything, but the promotion for this was absolute dogshit. Nobody knew this was happening until the park was getting put up the day before. The city didn't promote it, Rockstar didn't promote it, none of the sponsors promoted it... Just kind of a flop in the supposed skatepark capitol of the USA.
This made my morning! Always fun getting to see locals' perspectives on skateboarding.

Well you're not the first one to tell us this. We'd love to be heavily paid by rockstar to promote it next year hahaha
