The perfection of the technique behind the Javelin over the past decades is outstanding! The javelin throw was already part of the Olympic Games in ancient times and was first included in the program of the Intermediate Olympic Games in 1906 as the "freestyle javelin throw". Today's javelin throw has been part of the Olympic Games for men since 1908 and for women since 1932.
