There are many reasons for doing it the first one being the extreme heat that the Cats despite.
And off course the added benefit being the beautiful sound that it makes once you mate the bike with an exhaust of your liking.
I will be putting back my OE exhaust for now before i decide on which exhaust i prefers the most.

Did you remove the remaining honeycomb cat material in the stock header after cutting off the cat? Also, what did you do with the rear servo wires?

Hi there, for model year 2014 there is no honey comb material in the header pipes. If the cuts are made close to welds all of the honey comb media gets removed.
In my video i have shown the inside of the cats and you can see the media there.
I just left tbe servo wires hanging for now, but plans to remove them.

I have a 2012, which is the same generation as yours (2012 - 2014). I’m not too sure if they changed if within that generation between years.
Also, please make a video on the servo wires removal! Mainly interested in the rear servo removal as I’m going to be doing the same cat delete later today.
Would you recommend using a spray or paste to counter any possible exhaust leaks?
      Thanks

Paste is better, but measure three times before you make a cut is my rule.
Second Gen is what I have so your should be similar.
Servo is straight forward just make sure to not break the clip that is holding the plastic cover.

I don't remember it atm been a minute but I might have corrected it with the motoscan and dynojet power commander V. Since I installed it right after the decat.

I have the exactly same bike! 2014. I just installed the same Cat Delete, BUT HAVE A PROBLEM, the bike fail up to 8k revs, loose power, some partners said that can be the Wide “Y” diameter, but yours seems to works fine. Maybe my mechanic installed grong the servo? Or have you some advise? Or need a Re-Tune? THANKS.

Does this throw up any dash lights? Did you keep the servo cables connected?

I removed the servo connections, can use a servo buddy if there is any dash light.
Not that i noticed any dash lights but I have a piggy back power commander V

@@diyhowto9312 thanks for the reply, does it matter which position the valve is when removing cables? I remember my L1 Gsxr the valve had to be in the “open” position before removing the servo cables but there was a few TH-cam videos showing how to get it in the correct position where as with these I can’t find any videos regarding it. Cheers
