The most important thing in this video for me is actually the process template he is using. Could be exported after cleaning up for early presentation as well. Thank you very much for the video.
This is why I love FLUX it's great information and to the point. I have watched plenty of videos on branding and so many people have bored me and still did not give me what I was seeking.
That was absolutely amazing and enlightening. It's always just great to see experienced people showing their process. Very helpful - would love to see more!
Man, thanks for this video! I will definitely use this as exercise, 1 for 1 week, in this case, i think you can earn a better skillset for developing brand identities, BIG THANKS!
This was great. Is it frowned upon to generate a random/fake brief like that, take it through to completion, and add it to your portfolio? Your graphical knowledge is commendable! And yes, I want to see Ran and Rachel do this same process!!
It depends where you’re at in your career and what the purpose of your portfolio is. I would say if applying for college this a great approach. Also works well for practice. A Junior Designer may be able to include something like this too but always be clear and honest about the origins and results of your work!
@@MattBruntonUK - Thanks, Matt. I appreciate your reply. Always love seeing you here on Flux, and I am subbing to your channel now so I'll never miss content from you. Take care and God bless.
Haha, not bad for an old guy! I'm kidding. That sorta stuff ought to wake these youngins uppp! I'd definitely like for Ran and Rachel to take you up on this challenge, see how they fare against a veteran like yourself! You're fabulous!
@@MattBruntonUK you're an absolute gem, Matt, you're actually remarkable. I meant that I'd like to see how Ran and Rachel measure against you in this regard, because you're really the one setting the bars high at Flux, basically bettering them in every way I see. That's the quality of a veteran, right there. Keep it going!
What i got from this is You don't need to create a "brand new, fresh, never seen before" logo for it to be actually meaningful to a brand. You just really need to have a reason for the logo choice and why it fits with the brand. Learn to explain your work, even the nonsense.
I have only problem with the shape of diamond. Someone gave me an advice - "If you make a logo, you have to be prepared on everything. Try to find there almost everything, what you can. Is there something what can be overdrawn as a obscene shape? etc."
great format! But I actually would have prefered an 1 hour video and you taking time and explaining the different steps, instead of panicking ;) Kind regards
Not bad at all for such a skinny deadline, loved it!!! Thank you!!!

Begin with the end in mind. Thanks Viet!
I agree :)
That was great! Best advice was at the end “Don’t show the clients what you can do in 20 minutes!” 🤣
Thanks for sharing you (rushed) process!
You know it. Thanks man.
So good to see Matt in action.

Thanks Michelle. Same. Creating is not easy but I try not to be that guy!
Please make this type of videos a recurring thing!
Please make more videos like this
I really enjoyed this please make a part 2 with 1 hour 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
MORE MATT MORE MATT
I would watch this without any time constraints ! Would love to see the in depth process C:
The 'M' was almost already a diamond! And the 'M' was also in the middle making it super balanced if you were to work out the 'M' as a diamond :)
That was absolutely amazing and enlightening. It's always just great to see experienced people showing their process. Very helpful - would love to see more!
Cheers Jörg!
Fine result for the time being and the brief and I want to see ran do it 😀🤙
Agree, let’s see him suffer! Haha.
cool great to see thought processes and flow - like the all on one page arrangement for adding the categories of needs
Wow this was great! Keep doing this kind of videos. Although, it must be quite stressful with the time pressure so respect for doing a great job. :)
Thinking about thousands of designers watching is the stressful part.
Thank you Matt for sharing your creative process and your warm personality :) It's a nice inspiration tho
Appreciate it. ✌️

Super fun and I loved watching the process come together. You’re a good teacher and I’m looking forward to signing up when I’m able. Well done!
Appreciate that Francesca
I can't wait, either. So much excellent content for free; I can only imagine how incredible enrollment will be.
Thanks guys. Just enrol when you’re ready. 👍 Glad to have you here on TH-cam.

I wish he had more time...key takeaway..the thought process and final presentation...
That's key.
That was fun and also quite insightful! Please make Ran and Rachel do one :D
I too want to watch them floundering like I was!
Really nice!
Would you ever share the illustrator file?
Or at least a pdf version?
Thanks! Not sure there’s in much in there you couldn’t recreate quickly? 🤔 Something specific you feel would help as a template?
@@MattBruntonUK oh I just meant as a reference visually haha
Next time Ran could help put the brief together. Would love to see more of this

Useful
