@@gspotorno1 the kitty kitties before the E didn't have a ECM ( Electronic Control Module) wich runs the engine, pre E engines had a mechanical fuel pump. The CAT C-15 is a ECM engine. I absolutely love the sound of a 3408 cold start & idele, nothing else has that sound
@@bordstif84 that’s fine except when the dealer parks it outside. It was at the peterbilt dealership in Missoula Montana after having them swap in that engine
them old cats dont like cold starts but once warmed up theyre the greatest engine ever put in a truck!
We have a 2000 2WS 3406E and it bangs off better than any cat I've been around. We have a 6NZ and it doesn't like the cold very well.

Not doing anything with the throttle, it’s an electronic motor, don’t really get many cold starts, I usually stay down south and out of the cold.

I did a swap, truck had a BC-IV in it but I swapped in a 5EK 3406E
