No problem but to combat this in the future you should just take the license plate off before filming and put a “Chicago Auto Pros” one. That way you still “watermark” the video while protecting the customer’s privacy. Keep up the great work guys

What was the verdict on the fuel door? Was it over spray, a repaint? Was it pitting from from water being in an air line? I polished an e55 Amg for a friend last spring that he knew had some repainted areas, and it was easy to tell what was resprayed by all the pitting. Another detailing classic! Thanks Chicago Auto Pros!

For everyone saying this was Bentley’s doing, as in the manufacturing plant..that is highly, highly unlikely. This car was likely shipped in mint condition from the plant and one of two things happened:
    • the dealership detailers jacked this car up
    • the owner took it through a few car washes
    ....Or both lol

This had to be the dealership and sales guy cutting the corner. It amazes me that dealerships that sell high end don't simply invest in either onsite Detailers or outsource to a professional and reputable company. Selling a $200k+ car like that is simply indefensible. Even better looking back at this a 2nd time!

I work in a Bentley Dealership bodyshop and can tell you some brand new cars come to us in pretty rough shape. Many factors in transport to the dealership, many time cars are damaged in transit or at the port that vehicle is unloaded at. Some have sand marks in the paint the factory never buffed out all the way. I have a customers 2020 Aston Martin in the shop that looks like a five year old car it's so dirty. Our detailers take the time to make the car right, i can't say what other dealers do.

    • @volundrfrey896
      @volundrfrey896 4 ปีที่แล้ว

It could have happened between the car leaving the factory and the end customer getting it. A lot of people will handle that car in between those stages particularly when it's sent between continents. I would guess that the dealership is responsible for a great deal of the damage. It may be necessary to strip the protective coverings when the car first arrives at the dealership. An inspection is typically done to cars when they first arrive before the delivery truck leaves. Any shipping damage found is documented with the driver there which gives proof the damage occurred during shipping and not at the dealership. I know this occurs with other makes of vehicles since my friend does inspections at a dealership, I just have no idea on how Bentley does it.

it's quite obvious that all these scratches and sticker residue isn't directly from Bentley. Did the owner take to some incompetent detail shop that scratched the car up? thats what it looks like

@rvidal0001 Can 100% agree with you there, I work for a rental car company and all our prestige cars come with free servicing so we get them serviced at the dealerships, 9 times out of 10 they wash the car and it looks like shit when we get it back.

At a distance the paint looks incredible...up close and with the lights, it looks like it was polished with a weed-wacker!!

The intake video had me angry! Someone didn't know what they were doing. But the end results were a testament to your shop and your guys. At the end it looked the way it should have.

It's a shame that such an expensive vehicle is delivered to a customer in such a poor condition. Awesome job on the video.

I bet the owner tried to wash the car himself at a local car wash and used the brush all over his car. He probably realized he messed up the paint and pretended that it came all scratched up from the dealer 😂

Something seems wrong with the milage, 249 and that much dirt on the calipers, the condition those calipers came in at seems like an older car but excellent job on bring that paint back.

Dude drove his black bentley right into a parking curb in the parking lot the other day. All I could hear was “crunch”. He gets out, looks and says “ah, it’s just a car” must be nice!

Customer has to inform you about the circumstances of this damage, and you have to inform the public just to clarify the situation.
It wasn't delivered new from the factory in this condition.
This hurts Bentley image, as most people here comment about the poor quality paint job they did, and some legal consequences will occur.

Do you know any businesses that do similar work and quality in massachusetts?! I have a 1959 that has similar issues in this Bentley and the 51 chevrolet bel air video you have done. I have a similar paint to the bel air, ppg flame red with house of kolor red metallic flakes

8:59 looks like plastic etching where the plastic got wet underneath and etched the paint.

Well you well documented what someone did wrong, then used the team at the shop to do it the correct way. Now it looks like it was intended for having 249-miles.

The reason there are so many scratches is the paint is old fashion lacquer( nitrocelulous)

That edge marking looks like it would be from the protection wraps n adhesive - I often come across it on the Audi’s we prep for sale, particularly the RS3s round the black window trims. Bentleys, Lambos, Maseratis etc always require a bit of work fresh off the boat where I work in regards to paint correction. My foreman had to educate me bout it coz I always thought they came perfect from the factory. I recently only just started doing Maserati ‘exotics’ while I’m learning still bout correction etc but the more experienced Detailers get the bigger stuff.
One thing I noticed is a lot of Dealer detailers don’t give a shit coz it’s just a paycheck to them & the format being a numbers game to the bosses, they don’t really care bout the issues customers are unlikely to pick up on. Most of the people where I work do care, so we notice it when we have to fix other’s fkups from external dealerships if a ‘dealer swap’ car etc.
