I have been waiting for weeks for someone to test this mouse. I did not expect to see the first review from my favourite tester. The day started well, i ordered a white one. Thanks for the work you do, it's irreplaceable. Greetings from Hungary!
Apparently the Z2 was designed before the Z1, which is why the Z1 has more options & lower weight. Also Zaopin confirmed a z2 mini is in the works, which should be closer to Z1 in terms of weight and available options. Would be cool to see a Z2 pro as well.
Got mine last week. Love the shape so far. Only complaint is my switches were cooked after a few days without any heavy use. Clicks wouldn't actuate consistently (don't think it's a double click issue, they would just repeatedly actuate several times rapidly). Luckily I remembered they was hotswappable so I'll be swapping them out! Build quality is good otherwise. I'd recommend waiting for later batches (or pro version if it comes out). I ordered mine from Aliexpress so I'm not gonna bother with a return (I ordered it before any reviews so no fault but my own).
@@stanax I have the red one. No issues with fingerprints since it's not glossy. It would handle oil like any other plastic mouse. Easy to wipe down and the shell feels solid.
@@Pedro-gy4ht kinda yes, but also no. I think my copy has a qc issue with the design of the hotswap sockets/screws causing the switches to short when the screws are tightened. Long story short I had to bend the switch stems away and towards the center (mouse wheel) so they avoided contact with the screws. I ended up removing the screws on my LMB which makes the switch unsecure, but it's not noticeable or loose when attached to the top shell. I've gotten it to work 100% with one set of switches and I don't really want to deal with further so I'm not risking opening it again lol. That being said, I really like the shape so I'm dealing with the jank set up for now. I plan to just get a new one at a later batch or if they release a pro.
Id been waiting for a steelseries prime clone for acouple years now. Ive got one on order, cant wait for it to arrive. The weight is my only concern, ill be swapping the battery out for a smaller one straight away
I saw reports of problems with the switches/double click, did you have a similar problem? Another question, are the screws easily damaged when opening the mouse? Nice review my brother.
Thanks for review. Btw were you able to use both z1 and z2 at the same time while both dongles connected to pc? I connected both but only the mouse that's connected to my PC is working. The working seems like it's disabled for some reason even though both mouse is detected on the software. Also, does the 4k dongle work on Z1? Tried pairing it but it keeps on failing.
Waiting for the pro version at 50ish g hopefully :) 65 is a bit heavy by today's standards tbh. Still using my z1 pro very often, absolutely love that mouse shape and feel
You don't need superlight mouse, people are obsessed with low g but in reality anything under 70g is perfectly fine. You won't be a better player even with 40g so what's the point.
@@AuDiGo6I perform better with a 45g mouse than a 70g one, that's the point. No need to defend your FOMO purchases, I'm patient there will be a pro version.
how would you compare it to an old roccat kain? really want to find something with a similer shape to that mouse at a lighter weight/better performance
idk maybe its cuz im from germany but i cant find a 150mah 3,7v battery w 3pin 1mmall have just 2pin, except one aliexpress seller that ships in 2 whole months... surely im doing sth wrong, any idea / help?
Hello mate, I was wondering for a recommendation from you, I have almost 21x11cm hands and mostly claw or relax claw, and was wondering what would you choose as in my country the R1 pro max, xm2we and op1we have a similar price to each other. I currently main the g303 shroud and it's the most comfortable shape I've ever used, but the sensor started stuttering and being very bad and I need a replacement, also any other recommendations would be nice thanks
Could you link a 100-150mah battery that has the right connector already? Wanna bring the weight of mine a bit down, trying to at least be less than 60 grams!
i honestly would take the z2 cuz both have similar sensor paw3395 and z2 switches can be switch and try different switches such as huano silent switch....how many times i say too many switches🗿
still waiting a EC2 shape sub 35 gram mouse to this date............. and i had to buy ULX and WLmouseMINI coz literally nothing is that light weight atm......
your claim that the weight balance is perfect using either the 150mah (~3g) or 500mah (~10g) battery cant be true. a 7g difference at the back part of the mouse would def be a noticeable balance change.

Thanks King!
Best reviews hands down. Instantly subbed.
Finally, thank you very much! I was considering this Z2 since the VGN Dragonfly R1 is too flat for me. I need a toller mouse

Do you have a review for sora v2? I’ve seen you mention it in your u2 review, but can’t find it’s own review

I'd also like to know how these 2 compare
