Most underrated game of all time! Genuinely felt unique and just super fun to play. Almost like it wasn’t a call of duty game wether you think that’s bad or not I think it was really refreshing
I remember back when I was a kid I played the hell out of advanced warfare. But I never played exo zombies because it was dlc. I always sat on the menu wondering what it would be like to play. Finally playing this mode on the ps5 (ps4 version) was extremely fun. Despite how hard the mode is, and annoying mechanics, this mode feels really unique. I also like the overall enemy designs and theme of the maps. Exo zombies is honestly terrifying.
I was always a pretty big AW fan, mostly for the movement system. I think that exo zombies can be super fun when played in short bursts but not as replayable as the black ops series. Thanks for the comment!
Despite this mode being on the lower tier of all the games in the series (and most of that has to do with the sheer quality of the other games), I adore Exo Zombies mostly for the movement alone.
the story and cutscenes are awesome and i gotta say, this is the most believable unstoppable zombie outbreak out there and i feel like the game play itself reflects that, at the cost of alienating it's fanbase lol
I remember also desperately trying to defend this game mode.. my friends jumped ship (lol) after Outbreak, and I tried so hard to convince them Carrier was a great map.. every once and awhile I'll go back to it. Good video. You pretty much hit all the points I would if explaining the game to someone who hadn't played it. Sledgehammer definitely started to get their footing with the final 2 maps... would've been interesting to see how they'd improved beyond Descent. Something I don't think you mentioned is how none of the maps were included on disk.. paying for all 4 maps turned off many of my friends lol
I should have mentioned that, outbreak as a disk map would have been a lot better received than a paid DLC, since it does kind of give Nacht vibes with how simple/Small it is.
Loved Exo zombies but have accepted the almost universal hate. It’s a really fun spin on zombies and the escapes and dodges you can pull off make it really replayable. Shotguns are super satisfying to use as well 👍🏼 great breakdown here
I may be crazy, but i do like infection 😂 My only complaint is survivor should give a reign drops reward like bubby does when he dies so it is worth it, other than that just survivor rounds not being balanced for solo and receveing penalty even if not engaging with him, but unbalanced solo play is a constant problemn in all cod zombies. I actually like the egg i think it is fun, and all the gimmicks of the map, for me it is superior to oubtreak. All in all i do love exo-zombies, it is simple, challenging and unique.
Exo zombies may not be amazing but enjoy it and would definitely take it over ww2 or Cold War zombies (haven’t played any cod after ww2 besides Cold War so can’t speak for bo4, vanguard or other games)
I thought the Zombies community had standards smh... jokes aside, I'm out here panicking about how greedy they're going to be with the BO6 gobblegums, and we're just out here downplaying how bad Zombies experiences were despite how overwhelmingly flawed they might have benn, this is what has me nervous... I don't want Activision to think they can just release half baked game modes and expect us to "Be fine with it"!
Yeah. I am nervous about the gobble gums coming back, but hopefully, it's not too riddled with micro-transactions. Despite vanguard's terrible performance, I am hopeful for bo6 since it is the first time since black ops 4 treyarch has had time to make a full game without any weirdness.
When i played exo it was a one and done like vanguard, but vanguard was just bad exo felt empty and tedious. If you were to ask me to play exo or van, exo 100% Ps hope you get a hundred likes
ah thank you! Yeah I think it was unfortunate that it didn't really start peaking until the last two maps when most people had fallen off it. The spin off games really need to start strong or people won't enjoy them.
Bo3 was great but didnt have the same zombies feel as waw bo1 and bo2 id rather play exo than bo4 cold war vanguard and bo6. At least it was round based and IW zombies was cool ww2 zombies was meh

i used to like exo zombies a lot, replayed it recently and hated it so much.

Honestly, that's my thing too. The movement makes up for a lot of the issues.
me too!

I enjoy this zombies mode more than Cold War

The worst zombie is the one who disables your exo suit it’s hard asf😂
Honestly this game would have been 10x better if they just halved the spawn rates on those
I agree with that tier list with kino in D tier, it's overrated.
But i love AW and it's zombies mode
Yeah, I do think it gets way too much hate overall. Its just different from treyarch and sort of suffered from being the first spinoff.
You gotta buy contact grenades, those save your ass
For sure, contact grenades are probably one of the best nade buys in most of the zombies series.

It definitely had its good parts. Overall, it's a lot more solid of a game than most people give it credit for.
I liked Outbreak a lot, but didn’t play any of the others.
If you enjoy the movement, descent and carrier are both good times after getting used to them. I would avoid infection like the plague though lol.

aside some of carrier this game sucks tbh
I'm sorry. World war II is better than advanced warfare advanced warfare is s***
