I have a lot of appreciation for BL1 for being my introduction to the series. Playing couch co-op with my friends in middle/high school are some fond memories that honestly none of the other games have managed to recreate, even if the gameplay is better in later entries.
Thanks! Best of luck with the game. I hope that the code works first try every time, and the engine compiles new changes fast and without crashes. (Seriously, unreal 5 has some crazy load times)
No farming loot target, enemies drop exact gun that they're using, silent and bleaker atmosphere, and the GORE are the things that make BL1 superior than BL2. Also, the linear scaling works better than exponential scaling in later game (at least for me), making progress faster and doesn't feel like a chore hence making BL1 the most replayed series in the franchise by me
Yeah, it comes down to taste in the end. I prefer the ability to farm off specific bosses and the way that progression feels in the later entries. But I can see why someone might prefer this game.
I think BL1 is still a lot of fun. I tried getting all the achievements for it earlier this year, but I got burnt out on some of the tedious ones. Might go back in preparation for BL4. W for trying to branch out to other games though! I hope that goes well for u bro. 🤝
Well, if you play this game with my own mod, it gets so much better that it competes with 2. Maybe still not exactly there gameplay wise, but way closer. The superior (IMO) atmosphere and humour from 1, of course, stays the same.
I liked the first borderlands 👍 playing these games on release makes all the difference. good video _!_ also, there's no cel-shading in these games. none. zero. it's been 15 years, people, let's move on

Yeah, I didn't touch on it much, but playing this game with friends back in the day was a fantastic experience that very few titles have matched.
As the head of a small studio I love watching videos like this while working on our next title.

@ I can guarantee you that none of those things ever happen.
@@Incog-e1z yeah... thus is the life of coding haha

I think I might give Borderlands another playthrough, through a different lense. Great video! ❤
I appreciate it!

Thank you!

Thanks! Yeah, the 100% of this game takes a long time lol

Yeah, back on release, it was a fully new type of experience for me that I loved.
