@@TheUrbanFishkeeper I think mine ate the fry lol I don't see them anymore. I'll use a breeder box next time, also I need to catch the 2 non spawning one out bc they're getting beat up by the parents'
Nice little fish, but they produce too many fry, I have so many I don't know what to do with them! I'm told that they get to the point that you literally can't give them away! Any ideas?
Hi, it is so unfortunate that fish go in cycles, there will be times when you can't a Brichardi anywhere and then when you can, due to the small amount available they cost a fortune. Other times, as you say, you cant get rid of them. Are you in Australia?
@@TheUrbanFishkeeper Hi, no I'm in the UK, I have no shortage of fish shops locally, but I cannot get rid of all that these guys are producing. It's honestly scary! I think I have little choice but to consider some of these fry fish food!
Hi, it could be, but the water requirements for a brichardi is very different from barb / krib. Also if you have a pair of kribs they will dominate the lower space that the brichardi will also want to swim in and will get bullied.
Looks like an interesting little fish 🐟 👍
Hi John, they are a great fish to keep.
It's more of a case trying to stop them breeding!
Hahahahaha true
I have 4 of them in 20gallon long mine just spawned, is it fine to leave the babies in tank without a breeder box? Do they ever eat their young?
Hi, I have never had them eat the fry.

Hello great fan of your work. Could you explain how to remove the fries without disturbing their habitat
Hi, I use airline tube and syphon the fry out in a containers and then add them to their new tank.
I’ve had a pair but my male died. But I did get two generations of babies. Is there a chance I’ll get a new pair that will make babies ?
Hi, very good chance you will get another male out of the 2 generations you have.

Can a female brichardi be compatible in a community tank with barbs and kribs in a 55gal
