Yes, but your camera doesn't have to stay by your hip. Feel free to use the same technique but from different positions. For example, I have a short camera strap and shoot from my chest while zone focusing. Hope that helps!
Thanks! An easy example would be to set your F stop to F8 and then adjust your focus manually to have the infinity sign line up with the number 8. That would allow you to shoot almost anything in focus between 5 feet and infinity without having to do anything. Zone focusing allows you to turn your camera into a very powerful point & shoot experience. Good luck!
I used the 35mm crop mode to see if I liked that focal length before buying a 35mm lens for my new M6! It helped make my decision a lot easier, especially since I was so used to only shooting with a 28mm.
I’ve never had any issues shooting from the hip with the Q2. As long as you’ve got a firm grip or neck/wrist strap you should have no issues. Hope that helps!
Your music choice always pairs so well with the imagery 💫
Always a vibe!
Loved this!!
Appreciate you!
This gives me all the cne vibes 🤍👏🏾
Thanks for watching!
does shooting form the hip mean your camera is by your hip? and you are just aiming the lens and zone focusing

Cool video! Looking to try zone focusing with my Q3. What setting did you use for this?

Do you ever use the crop modes on the q2? Or just tend to shoot wide

Absolutely great. Is it hard to take photos from the hip with the Q2? Isn’t it too heavy so it can dive/incline ? Thanks!
