Great demonstration of the synth, but even better demonstration of the sheer joy of discovery!

That's why we developed Osmose: make synth playing more playful, richer and fun! Keep smiling while playing ;)

André should be employed at the factory. He would do all the stress-test on the keyboard. Like a robot opening 10000 times a kitchen door before it hits the market. Nice video!!

cool he mentioned Alfred Cortot (there is at least one video of him playing the Chopin Berceuse on TH-cam that is pretty incredible.)

great guy, good musician! but SORRY it sounds completely unrealistic and pathetic. 1st sound sounded like a GM-engine in from a soundblaster card. then demonstrating dynamics with almost no dynamics. ok, i'm a tonmeister and recorded lots of acoustic projects, but i would never use the osmose to mimic acoustic instruments, only for synthstuff.

Have you actually played one? The Osmose is the most fun I've had playing a keyboard that isn't a grand piano. Not that you aren't entitled to your own opinion, but I can tell you haven't played one by your comment on dynamics. It's an incredibly dynamic and nuanced playing experience.

@@AngryPhotoGuy of course i have played one. i really wanted to buy it. i also had the seaboard rise. yes it is nuanced, but that does not help actually. listen to the demos of good players. marco parasinis playing on the seaboard rise is actually convincing. but all demos of the osmose sound just not good enough for real world pro use, not even the demos from jordan r. i almost bought the osmose for the sheer optics. very nice. but other than stupid synthnoises, i dont see a reason for a use!

@@pongmaster123I would never use it to mimic specific acoustic instruments either. That is definitely not what this is really about.😅

@@pongmaster123 The unfortunate part, is that the development focused on the synth aspect and not the realistic acoustic instruments, but synth sounds really don't need something like the Osmose to come alive as there are already so many other ways to make synth performances more expressive. It's the virtual acoustic instruments that sorely need better ways to perform them, and the Osmose could have been a great solution to that problem, but they chose not to focus on the one area the Osmose could have been of a real service the musicians who really need its capabilities. So for now, it's still just the Seaboard Rise that fills the void, until Expressive E catches up in that area. (BTW, I own both.)

@@LunatiqueRob 100% agree and yes the seaboard is actually better at that. although, in a professional setting in music production, we would never ever use either the seaboard nor the osmose to mimic real instruments, its just pathetic. (for corporate music its a different thing but still....). i actually would like to buy the osmose just for the looks, even its useless...;-)
