Great performance, any video or short I’ve seen from the Osmose is amazing.
I’m definitely blessed and thankful I was able to get one. I’ve been producing for sometime on a few synths , and not one of them has the touch or expression of the Osmose.
Once again great performance too all.

Man, I want to buy one of these so bad but the 4 octave range just seems so limiting. I feel like even 5 octaves would've made a huge difference for two handed play. Do they have plans to release other sizes?

Good question! We of course had to start with a given key format as the keybed of Osmose required quite some R&D time and resources. The 49-key format represented a good balance between smaller and bigger formats... but be sure we're thinking about other options ;) Stay tuned.

you will discover it is an instrument initself & not just another synthisizer, which means playing 2 handed requires a different approach to a regular keyboard. I do not find 49 keys restictive at all.. & the octave button means i can switch quickly. The basses are very deep & full & chords can sound quite messy so just 1 or 2 notes work better. Then of course you could play with a second instrument . Buy one , you will be captivated by the sounds & playability. it's like no other instrument.

This is so wonderful! I already wondered when the first compositions especially for the Osmose instrument will appear ❤
for me I found that I really enjoy Renaissance flute music interpreted with it.

really? i actually planned to buy one but i got away from it because i never heard a demo where it shines, with the exception of overcomplex synthpads, but as a solo virtuoso instrument i can only here the osmose suck, it always sounds only 95% there, never more. with the roli seaboard, which i had, slightly better performing.

@@pongmaster123 - Hi, I would tend to agree with you. I have an Osmose and (apart from many hard/software issues - and a 2nd replacement), I have been very disappointed with the lack of realistic onboard acoustic instruments to take advantage of all that expressive MPE control - much of which cannot be applied to external 3rd party sounds in a PC and the Eagan Matrix is the least intuitive beast to get to grips with programming. The keybed is sublime though.

@@kevmusic6312 ok thanks for the infos about the issues. i mean, when i listen to the demos of the pro players, it sounds almost great, but never GREAT in the sense i would use it on a track, even when jordan rudess plays it. i'm an engineer and producer in a commercial studio for 20years and i can live with a whacky and not great guitar solo on a record, but a virtual instrument trying to be realistic is not usable for me.

Interesting debate here! We would separate two topics here: the engine-keyed combo and preset curation.
      1. We encourage player to fully explore the 500 presets of Osmose. There is a lot more than acoustic emulations, there are key sounds, pure synth sounds, SFXs, hybrid sounds (these are our favorites! between acoustic and synth sounds).
      2. When it comes to using Osmose's keybed, it works wonderfully as a controller with hardware and software synths as well. If you're not into the sounds of the internal engine, you'll still get all the benefits of Osmose's MPE keybed with all the MPE-compatible synths you love. A good example is the partnership with Phase Plant we've done to release 400 MPE presets curated by us for this great soft synth. Let's spread MPE around!

They released a collection of 4 MPE sound banks (400+ presets)made by Expressive E for phase plant. It takes advantage of ALL the MPE capabilities of Osmose. I love it. At $99 with phase plant it is a steal. If you already own phase plant I think it is only $39.

We're proud to work with bigger, established artists but also emerging talents such as James. When he came to us with the idea of fusing classical & electronic music, we thought it was a refreshing concept that suited Osmose perfectly :) He's onto something pretty unique.
