Definitely consult with primary care doc about possible meds, and get recommendation for a counselor who understands this stuff. The UC meds are improving, so there is a lot to optimistic about.

I think this refers to INFLAMMATORY Bowel Disease (as opposed to Irritable Bowel Syndrome).
