After the damage done to his throat due to a hasty intubation a couple years ago it was thought he might never sing again. I can't tell you how happy I am to hear this.
I *think* the Turners are only used on his electric numbers, so Lindsey would usually play a Taylor for this song, but hell yeah this Fender does sound great! :)
I went to recent fleetwood Mac concert before this covid , and man , I really wish Lindsey was on that tour ... he is legendary and his playing is on a different level ! Still a great concert but for a first and probably last time seeing them , it wasn’t the same without him there and I know that for a matter of fact
@@acefrehley4065 honestly as incredible as Fleetwood Mac are my big attraction to them is Lindsey’s playing. I wanted to get some tickets to their last gig for me and my dad but without Lindsey and the fact it was about £600 for 2 tickets put me off!
My God what a pleasant pleasant surprise! It's so good to see Lindsey playing and singing. By far the most talented member of Fleetwood Mac. Anytime you left the band they needed to guitars to replace him. He's so underrated kind of like Mick Taylor, virtuosos. This was the nicest gift I've seen on TH-cam and a long time. He's still got it:-)
Actually there would be no Fleetwood Mac without Peter Green who formed and even named the group but Lindsey, Stevie and Christine were definitely the second most important phase of the group and totally different but just as important and enjoyable. This is a testament to the virtuosity of the rhythm section whose names the great Peter Green used to name the band with and quite prophetically so.

I was 55 last week but the second concert I ever went to was Fleetwood Mac on their Rumors tour at the age of 12. I got to see him perform this in front of a crowd of 78,000 people at the Cotton bowl in Dallas Texas. I later saw them in 1980 and 83 but that Rumors tour was something special...

Hearing Lindsey sing "I've been down three times..." at 45 years of age really hit me. Life is so heavy and can be so brutally painful in a multitude of ways, which is why music has always been the saving grace of the human condition. When people go the try hard route & get shitty and ironic about someone saying "Music saved my life"/"This song-band-album saved my life", etc. I really feel genuine pity for them. Music is the one thing that reminds me that all of this is worthwhile, that there's something good we humans are responsible for. I didn't expect to get hit with such a metacognitive wave of emotion watching an Acoustisonic Jazz Master video (I'm a guitarist so nearly EVERY channel I subscribe to has been featuring it), but in Lindsey's hands, playing one of his most beautiful songs, I was helpless...
Have a listen to Fleet foxes, tallest man on earth, khruangbin, frightened rabbit, Beans on toast... there's so many great artists out there, you juat need to look for them.

As soon I clicked on this I wondered if he was going to play the song I heard Tom Bukovac play that I subsequently discovered due to watching his video and how amazing the playing on this track is and I immediately hear the tune. What a treat to hear this. The guitar sounds great too. Very bright and lively. Lindsey is an extremely underrated player and writer.

Wow! That was strong yet exquisitely delicate! Artfully crafted ebbing and flowing moods. Anyone else would be happy just playing the melody. I've heard those players. The difference is that he is part of the melody and rides it like a surfer.... doing interesting things all the way to the end. What a wonderful example of seasoned talent. This performance should be studied by all aspiring singer-songwriters. I think the Jazzmaster was very complementary to his voice and playing dynamics.

It’s a sound that was not on the radio at the time, and I say that as someone who HATED Fleetwood Mac when Rumors came out. I was much more of a Boston, Foreigner fan, but have grown to appreciate it the older I got.
He was the sonic backbone of Fleetwood Mac. He was the best musician in a band that every other musician would have been the best musician in any famous band. It was his detailed music that just stood out. A symphony with two hands.

This song has been woven in my life throughout. Its so amazing! The boss at Fender said : Hand this man this guitar and have him tinker around with it- make sure to be recording!!! So glad to see Lindsey recovering and his voice is back. Legend. My dad took me to Fleetwood Mac in 1998 for reunion concerts. During Lindsey’s solo I remember deciding I was going to play guitar.

It's always amazed me how he can use all his fingers on his right hand to pick different strings all at the same time. Makes a single guitar sound like several. I saw him in Nashville some 20 years ago with Fleetwood Mac and until that evening I had no idea just what a great underated guitarist he is. I thought I paid too much for tickets till I saw that. Fantastic.

This song has been woven in my life throughout. Its so amazing! The boss at Fender said : Hand this man this guitar and have him tinker around with it- make sure to be recording!!! Never thought of the song like this or this structure and sound. He really is. Protean. Mac is a cover band without him and/or Stevie.

So glad to see Lindsey recovering and his voice is back. Legend. My dad took me to Fleetwood Mac in 1998 for reunion concerts. During Lindsey’s solo I remember deciding I was going to play guitar.

Indeed the Fleetwoodmac sound was Lindsey! He looks & sounds amazing, esp considering the lack of special effects & such. He doesn't need them & few can say the same!
There is plenty of reverb and a bit of slap back on this. But that takes nothing away from this phenomenal/emotional performance.
OMG.. He's just brilliant!!! I'm going to see Stevie Nicks in 5 days. If she'd allow Lindsey to play this with her, I could probably be in Heaven for 4 minutes!! Love-Love-Love-Love!!!!
The most underrated GUITARIST EVER!
It's always amazed me how he can use all his fingers on his right hand to pick different strings all at the same time. Makes a single guitar sound like several. I saw him in Nashville some 20 years ago with Fleetwood Mac and until that evening I had no idea just what a great underated guitarist he is. I thought I paid too much for tickets till I saw that. Fantastic.
