So I have a 98.5 24v automatic and the vp44 took a shit. I also picked up a 95 12v manual truck. I want to keep the automatic. Not trying to start a war but just some advice on what I should do. Should I swap to the 12v? If so what all do I need to do? Or should I take the parts from 12v and p pump my 24v? Been debating this for days. Thanks in advance
What is the spaceing on the holes on the p-pump gear? I wanna make my own puller but dont have a spare gear to measure and i daily drive my truck for work
One thing I recommend was listening to our power driven diesel and he was commenting that if you use real high pressure valve springs just want to drive the cam into the block and mess up the cam tunnel where it out well I suggest is put cambering’s in and get them with a diamond light coating on and I would guess you could put that diamond like coding also on the cam journals that would help I just thought I’d throw that in I don’t know for sure if you can call both of them the journals and the bearings but anyway this is 6in a row jim from Kennerdell Pennsylvania Kennerdell Pennsylvania
If your using a crazy spring it is hard on the cam bore. But most guys don’t use more then a 175 lbs spring. Witch is not a lot more then a 60lbs spring used for years ( still used in lots of apps ) the 60lbs is 160-165 lbs spring just a different design
Looks like “dieseltuff” sells the kit, and you make it look easy. Thanks for making a good video without all the acting.
Hey rob THANK you for sharing this information, you are greatly appreciated and respected for putting this information out there god bless
Yes id like to see a long detailed video swapping any pump over to the p pump
Thanks Mr Rob❤❤
Do you have to change the head when swaping from a ve pump to a p pump? I heard something about a 9mm injector bore and 7mm bore.
Interesting , The first gen did get really good mileage . Thanks again
They do get good mileage
Any news on the video of a ve to p-pump conversion? Or a parts list? Love your videos, very informative.
I can do a video on it for you
Where can i find lines for a ve pump on my 24 v

My opinion the easy way it swap the 12v in the vp44 truck. Or you can convert the 24v to a ppump
Want to be happy? Lose the automatic
I'm getting rid of the vp44 and putting a ve pump in will it work
You can yep. Have to do a few things but you can

I am not sure off the top of my head but I can measure it for you
