  • Here is three high performance pocket bike engines. All have quality case bearings and seals.
    First is the gold head, stock slide carb, modified reed stopper, stock tin reed, stock half moon crank, blueprinted case, matched mild ported cylinder, slightly higher compression, stock flywheel, and stock 3 shoes aluminum clutch.
    Second engine, blue head.
    2pc higher compression head. Boost port in the cylinder, exhaust port work, ported base transfer ports, lightened crank with rocket key, 3 shoe aluminum clutch with HP springs, massaged case, tin Reed, modified reed stopper, race coil, and for now crappy race carb, soon a pumper carb.
    Third engine, ported base cylinder transfers, ported exhaust port, wide third boost port, higher compression, blueprinted case, modified reed stopper, carbon fiber reed, taper bored round slide carb, upgraded coil, stock flywheel, 3 shoe steel clutch with HP springs.
    Most of the power upgrades are in the blue printing/porting and lightening of parts. Also modifying the reed stopper and carb. always run a performance exhaust, which can be seen in another video of mine.
    Thanks for watching and please subscribe!!!

    Have you tried putting a 990 walbro carburetor on a engine. It’s mainly for gas rc cars known as 1/5 scale Baja 5b and Losi 5t gas rc car but I’ve tried and it works you just have to find a adapter because they got 2 bolts to hold it in place

    • @bdrgarage7039
      @bdrgarage7039  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have not personally used the 990, usually a modified 668 clone is my go to. On my gopeds I also use the 668 and 167.

      @@RamiroJunTV Short answer, no. This engine was modified a lot. So the ones on ebay or Amazon have less than half the power these have.

    Hi, im new to these little engines whats the difference between 1 piece head and 2 pieces? I have a x1 pocket that has 1 but seems like i cans install 2 piece from ebay?

    • @bdrgarage7039
      @bdrgarage7039  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The 2 piece will have higher compression. Your X1 is a piston port and there is no cylinder with the open top for a direct replacement. But it has been done by others. You can chop the top or your cylinder but machining will be needed.
      However, you can pull out the base cylinder gasket and use yamabond to seal the surface and gain more compression that way.

      @bdrgarage7039 i see what you mean, any cylinder you recommend as a replacement wich has better porting and compression? Also any forks as mine are bent

    • @bdrgarage7039
      @bdrgarage7039  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@carlosdavidgalarza9338 Unfortunately for the forks, I believe they are not available. They should be able to be straightened or find a used parts bike. As for the cylinder, all the companies they use to make performance ones are long gone. BUT it can be ported by you. The best way is a little, 1mm each side of the exhaust port and arch the top slightly. Widen the base transfer ports and its already better. Make sure to taper the inside edges so the rings don't catch.

    How do I get higher compression on a 40cc xpro 4 stroke engine

    • @bdrgarage7039
      @bdrgarage7039  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't have experience with that engine but, higher compression can be gained by shaving the head, or a thinner head gasket. I don't know the spec of that engine, you don't want to add so much compression that you have to run super high octane. fuel.
