- Is Sonic Heroes getting a remake? Who knows, what I want to talk about is the atmosphere Sonic Heroes brought to the table, how it has ties to the origin of Sonic's concept and what role it may be able to play in the hedgehog's future.

Sonic Heroes is a happy game. Even if you don't like the gameplay too much, the vibe is just a pure joy I can't describe.
True!
Imagine a Sonic game with the Heroes art-style, creativity and music, the (Sonic) gameplay and storytelling approach of the adventure games, and special stages akin to the boost levels from Unleashed or Generations. Would honestly be a dream come true for me, but it will never happen so...
If the Sonic Heroes Remake is real...
You are absolutely correct that heroes has a great vibe to it and it feels like it should be a game that takes place before sonic adventure one because it feels like a true adaptation of classic sonic aesthetics and design philosophy from the OVA and the games into 3-D.
At the same time, it manages to have characters like Team Dark still fit into the vibe
Sonic Heroes on PC with 15+ mods loaded makes it a fantastic experience. Truly one of those games that requires mods to make it enjoyable fully.
I have never looked into Heroes Mods
@@TheRealMightyEmperor tons of good ones on GameBanana. you can pick up the pc port of the game easy from MyAbandonware
Wouldn't that mean it's a bad game?
@@KaleSTUDIOS well by that logic minecraft is the worst game ever made because it has the largest amount of mods.
@@Kiezly That's not what I'm saying.
I'm not trying to say it's bad because it has a high amount of mods.
I'm saying it would be bad because it REQUIRES mods to be fun. If that's the case, then it's a bad game.
I never played Heroes and I don't necessarily mind the fun and lighthearted tone characteristic of most Sonic games. There's no denying this is what works for Sonic, but I still support taking a chance on a serious tone and if you ask me, this is territory that still needs to be explored or experimented with. I personally like Sonic '06 for its unprecedented seriousness. Sonic dying is an event I consider memorable. I don't know about likeable, but it's memorable. I also like that moment when we catch a rare glimpse of Sonic's sudden sadness after he fails to save Elise when Eggman's ship explodes. I know they finally tried again with a serious story for Frontiers, but somehow even though Sonic is crippled or sick, his struggle doesn't seem believable.
I am glad we are going serious as well. The vibe in this video doesn't mean we have to avoid serious stories. Metal in the OVA was going to blow up the world and almost killed Sonic.
Soundtrack is peak and half of the zone themes
Indeed!
Honestly, even as a kid I preferred the more realistic environments. I always wanted to explore the background of Chemical Plant because it always felt more real and connected to us, the players. HOWEVER, I have always hated the arbitrary and abstract concepts of the special zones. Those arent zones, that's a literal pinball machine and an empty water slide. I've always felt that the wild and creative ideas of the classic zones/acts needed to shift into being much more flushed out versions of special zones (sorta like the ones from Sonic CD, which are ACTUAL microcosm worlds, and not just grided spheres with balls on them.) Leave the "realistic" environments for regular play, and turn the crazy stuff into special zones.
I think Heroes does abstract well though. Not every game needs to be that (I enjoy adventure / shadow / 06) but I do think Heroes embodies that classic vibe that peaked with CD / OVA
Yeah I also do like how Heroes brings the classic design vibe into the modern era like Adventure 1. Though on the case of objectiveness I most certainly would. After all Boom did die off.
I guess you could say it boomed
I love sonic heroes vibe but I think that something that contributes to why I like it so much is just the way it looks with its character models and especially the non pre rendered cutscenes and animations have a lot of charm to them there’s just something I really like about it
Shadow The Hedgehog in-game cutscenes have a similar feel
Yeah same goes for riders and even for as weird as some of those are I still enjoy them too especially riders those are some of my favorite sonic cutscenes not because they are amazingly animated push the story forward or deep but because they’re just fun and I like that
I would love so much of that OVA to make a comeback and fleshed out more, god it’s legit one of my favourite pieces of Sonic media. I watched the living hell outta that thing as a kid in the late 90s, vivid memories of every time it’d get to the part where it’s a first person view of Sonic running I’d sit at the edge of my seat and pretend I was Sonic 😹🤓😹 I still pop that movie in at least once a year! And you bet when it gets to that part I still pretend I’m Sonic 😹🤓🦔🖤
I love the slightly grounded but still fantastical look of the adventure games and love the super colourful vibe of Heroes and I PRAY Frontier 2 goes for something more like those games, I honestly can’t stand this weird attempt at photorealistic “serious” worlds for Sonic. There’s gotta be some kind of dreamlike quality to his world at the very least, for me.
The realism of Frontiers really felt like SEGA was just using public domain assets. Sonic 06 was more stylised than that.
@@TheRealMightyEmperor totally agree! Besides that weird Eggman design, ‘06 totally nailed that look well while still having that Sonic ✨style✨
Never actually played heroes, but it doesn’t look that bad, but I hope the rumoured remake fixes it.
It is very nice to play once you know what to avoid. A rerelease should make it easier to play for newer people if it does indeed exist.
It runs great on dolphin emulator and the game is in licensing limbo so I don’t we’ll be seeing a remake or port anytime soon so you might as well check it out on an emulator
@@sharkapuppet Unfortunately I don’t have a pc so can’t.
@@NM_0914 you can play it on your phone
@@NM_0914 you can play it on your phone easily
Wow ...
Do you think they should remake “sonic rush” or do you think it’s too early for that?
To early? No. Should they? Also no. Unless they went all out to make it a 3D game, they should focus on the main series (Or rush 3).
@@TheRealMightyEmperor you know what Blaze is kind of like sonic’s sister in a way
@@ernestcollins8295 I dont see it
Can you make What if Nocturnus Clan have turn be good ? More like Knuckles Clan the will declare war to Nocturnus Clan the real reason why happen the was Chief Pachacamac they wanted to expand his Kingdom after his mom death . That going super cool the Nocturnus Clan is war with Eggman empire ! So will change SONIC CD well Sonic meets Shade The Echidna not Amy rose. So That means Sonic Shade have become follows love each other the going happening sonicxshade-Sonade ? I think Amy rose she will not be here in SONIC CD but Amy rose still here Sonic adventure 1 and Sonic adventure 2 more like Amy rose she will follow love with shadow the hedgehog or not change everything well that’s my theory

It's one of my most favourite Sonic games but it has lots of glitches sadly
Gamecube version seems the most stable
@@TheRealMightyEmperor Yeah I played that one but I think I was stuck in a canon with vector!
We need a remastered version with all bugs fixed! It was such an amazing game with the best final true boss ever!
That's why I hope we get a remake from the ground up.
The old code seems like a lost cause for a simple remaster.
