Hot spots suck if you're using different blades all the time. But with repeated use of the same blade they'll eventually be callous. Awesome video man!
I 💖 it ! Camp chopping tasks like firewood / creating kindling. Speaking as someone who has been tree'd by a Grizzly and attacked by a Wolverine I would feel confident having that on my belt. - Excellent hard use review.
Agreed on the review. I really feel for me, chopping wood should be done by a dedicated axe. But if you don’t have one, this knife will do. I see it as very good for protection and using on lighter brush.
That's it! After watching this video I need a Nap. LOL That's a Big Bad Azz Blade for sure. For me I have the BK9 and a Khukuri with a 10" blade, these are my two large choppers. But, in saying that, I wouldn't turn away from owning a blade like that. The Predator Hunter, Silky Big Boy 2000 and a BK16 would do me just fine in an outdoor adventure. Great video.
i love me a big ass knife. Reminds me of that big old blade on the first predator movie with AAHHNOLD!, which, Im sure, is where it got its name. Nice, i like it.
I wear either the Vidda Pro or Vidda Pro Vented typically. In this video I had the Vidda Pro non-vented version. The two are slightly different in pocket layout...but both equally good.
They're small batch... sold out the first batch. They didn't stop making it... just haven't made the next batch yet. You gotta keep an eye out... they sell in a matter of minutes.
BK9 is severely dwarfed by the Predator Hunter... they are two different size classes. The BK9 could go up against the Wilderness Bowie...BK9 is much thinner and lighter. These Puzon designs are thick and heavy so they have chopping power. The BK9 is much more nimble and better for general camp tasks.
It looks fun, but for chopping, this goes into the territory where a hatchet or axe would be more efficient. I am not sure about that knife for combat , but it would be intimidating
At this point I have come to terms with the fact that hard using a knife is a sport of its own. It's not about efficiency, rather the enjoyment and sport of using a large knife.
To be fair downwards into the branch collar grain is probably a less optimal angle to chop a limb off I find in small wood a large knife is actually a lot more efficient than a hatchet. Especially climbing as you can sweep them off without having to swing for each individually.

It's definitely gonna have a nice piercing tip with a solid guard. That will aid in the stabbing safety and with a long blade it's got some reach.

It's certainly a BEAST!! I think people will like the Predator Hunter very much!
Rambo approves! 👍 looks like a great chopper. 😲
Fantastic chopper! That was serious action!
I'm getting that knife as soon as it is released.

Thanks...haha, yes, definitely a workout. But an enjoyable one! Something satisfying about hard use with a large blade!!
Omg I need this knife!! I could hunt elephants with that blade.lol
Looks very similar to the dark timber devils horn knife. Looks like a fun knife
Definitely some similarities in some of the design elements...I agree!

whats the blade thickness?
Awesome knives! But how do i get them? They're always sold out 😬
You gotta get one during the drops...they sell out in minutes for most models.
Nice blade. btw. which fjellriven pants did you wear in the video?

got to get one but cant find one
You gotta keep an eye on the WTG adventure team on Facebook as well as their Instagram posts for when the models become available.
Wish I could get my hands on one. Why’d they stop selling it?

Nothing wrong with testing on fresh pine. I'm in western Washington so that's what I'd be building with.
How would you compare that knife to the kbar bk9. Would love to see a comparesion video.

Hell yes
This was a fun one for sure!! Thanks for watching!

I always wear gloves when processing wood no matter what tool I am using
Get to dah choppah !!!
This knife makes Mick Dundee's look like a toothpick.
Isn't hachet beter for that and practical
Depends what you want to do. Big knives are definitely more fun.
When i see this knive i think of MK Kano
The Predator Hunter is a short sword, plain and simple. A “woods sword”, if you want to be nice about it.
The size of the handle is usually the problem for me and they need to offer this one in at least two sizes to fit my 2xl hand and regular size hands.
I think this will be more that adequate for a larger hand. The Wilderness Bowie definitely is.
That wilderness bowie isn’t a knife this is a knife 🔪.
That's right!! Talk about the giant dwarfing goliath.
What a shame u cant even chop that lil branch properly...
This vs the busse wtf? ....
Which Busse you thinkin?? I don't own any, but curious what you would pick.
The wtf "war train fusion" simular in size and blade shape
Doesn't matter how good a knife is, if it isnt even available to buy, its pointless
