WooHoo! That is some stabbin son! That thing blows through everything in front of it. The fact it sinks in so deep it makes chopping a dream, it looks like. Love it! I too am a bowie man and this one will eventually be in my collection and be used because it is awe-fricken-some! Small ceramic rod and yeah it'll sharpen in the field, an 8 inch one to drop in your pack. Love the demo Scabo! Yeah it was worth the wait!

Bought this knife a few weeks back. Saw it and wanted it right then. Love it. The sheath is great as well. Did a hard mount for cross draw with some Kydex adapter for cross draw I got from a connection I got up north. To big for carrying a sidearm on same side. This knife is a beast. I absolutely love it.

It disturbs me to see some of these guys who don't know what they're doing try to demo a big blade and goof up their chops. Not the case here. Would like to see it sheathed, on your side to see how much the handle sticks out. It's a relatively big handle but I want to see how it sits on you. Great job brother.

#22aday I've always liked the traditional southern style Bowie there just good at about everything which you have shown. This is a Beast of a knife and a good one to have around Great Demo brother and you survived the swamp to fight another day. Peace and look forward to the next one.

Great looking knife and super functional as well. The 9" blade is definatly my sweet spot on a large chopper. Big enough that it will get through anything but not to big that you can't do some fine work with it. Really like the hook on the handle keeps your hand in place. Lots to love in this beast of a knife. Thanks for the look see and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable
Man you summed that up well, I came to see what this tank of a blade can do and it does not disappoint. I’ve come across auction handcraft bowies on eBay but man this one is worth it’s weight in gold. Choppers are my go to in any bush situation and I’m either eyeing this bowie here, the Svörd Bowie, or an authentic 8-9” blade khukuri to add to my big out bag
Just ordered one from the recent drop. I'll be testing it against the Cold Steel Trailmaster 3V &San Mai III, the Fallkniven Modern Bowie, Bark River 1909, and the Bark River SMB. With these other blades I've just listed, the Trailmaster in San Mai III has been the best chopper and surprisingly....has the best edge retention. I predict that this knife will be the better batoner, but will fall behind the Trailmaster (San Mai III specifically) and the Fallkniven Modern Bowie on green wood due to the thinner full height convexed edges those two have, but this will shine on more seasoned wood as I'm sure it's much thicker behind the edge. The SMB will be a contender, with this Puzon coming out on top due to a more even weight distrubtion and handle design compared to the SMB. Overall, good test and some of the best chopping footage I've seen thus far ma dude. Keep up the good work.
@CHOIRBOYZ OUTDOORS!! Since you've thoroughly tested this model, how was the edge retention vs any other 3V blade of similar design you've encountered? On paper, 3V should outcompete it in edge retention, but the subjective factor is always heat treat (though you can extrapolate a pretty accurate "range" of performance by pulling from multiple sources and increasing your statistical power factor. This blade may be an outlier compared to other knives made of SK85 steel).

I have literally smashed into deer antlers with this thing and no chipping, rolling, or bending. Now compared to well done 3v Ill have to do some more head to heads , however, I'm a firm believer in Vic Lin

I'm kind of a steel snob (my current favorite is Magnacut and CruWear), but the design of this thing really spoke to me so I didnt pay attention to the steel like I normally do. I've been on the hunt for a good bowie for....a decade now I bet ya. Hell, I've even had one made custom by Darrin Sanders in CPM 3V but it still doesn't do what I need it to do in the woods. This design looks to be of the right features to be my "go to" big knife for my Montana wilderness expeditions.

I've been waiting for this knife to come into stock. Well I ordered it last night can't wait for it to get here. I was thinking about getting another nice camp axe until I came across this Bowie knife and decided this Bowie knife could do what an expensive camp axe could do and plus it's part of American history. Also if they decide to do an assault weapon ban I'll always have my Bowie knife to go Rambo. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Great question for sure. Before testing it just based on looks I would have said I think it is definitely a nice to have. However, after using it I do truly believe this is an essential tool that will fill and fit a lot of needs. Now if you already have a large go to knife then you just have to make that decision based on what kind of kit you already have
The Puzon Wilderness Bowie is right up there with my favorite WTG Knives! Would love a blacked out one.
