Great video! Helped me install it in my 2024 HRV Sport in about 30minutes. Only issue I have is the power plug appears to be a constant hot connection. EDIT: the camera does power down on its own after 10-15 minutes.
We didn’t do or don’t plan on doing rear dash cam install do to majority of new cars we review already come with rear cams. Are you asking for a filming camera.?

Cancel. I detached 2 of the clips on one side, and then pulled it in hopes it would separate and it did. I only detached 2 but the other(s) came apart with some pressure. I took a chance because it could have broke them.
I messaged them and was told when the car is off and doors locked, it won’t use the battery. I hope that is true cause I won’t want parking mode either.

@@VagabondBuilds I haven’t traded it in yet. Numbers yet to be determined. I got the front camera off. I think I broke a couple clips on the upper panel behind it letting it bend down but it all went back together ok.
@@VagabondBuilds Thanks anyway. I just traded it in instead of selling it. I replaced it with a Mazda CX-30. It feels so good to have a regular transmission again rather than CVT.

I’m guessing the way you installed the cam it uses the battery when the car is off? If so, I would want to avoid that. Great video.

Which ever will fit. It all comes down to preference and fitting.

Problem. I’m selling my HRV. Now, how do I remove the cam? Problem-how do I take the front camera piece back off?
The same way you took the OEM part off to install the camera.
