Can stranded cable be crimped with a ferrule to make them removable like a solid wire?

Can a 3 conductor connector be used with only 2 conductors? I need just a few 2 conductor connectors and don't want to have to buy a bunch of them. I will be buying quite a few 3 conductors. In other words is it ok to not fill all the slots of the conductors.

Can you purchase junction boxes for these style Wagos?

  • @wingerrrrrrrrr

So these can accommodate stranded wires with a 1.6x difference in range of diameter from minimum to maximum, and 2.3x for solid wires, while the ranges for lever lock Wagos are 5.3x for either type wire.
What advantages do these new series of connectors have in comparison to the lever type connectors?
    E.g. Size, price, installation speed?

The 2773 series are suitable for both solid and stranded cables but not flex / fine stranded. Whereas the 221 Series is suitable for all three types (solid, stranded & fine-stranded). One conductor per clamp. Hope this helps!

@@ronpost587 unlikely, but we can offer jumpers for the 221 Series now so you can common them together www.wago.com/gb/installation-terminal-blocks-and-connectors/jumper/p/221-942 (Can be seen here towards the bottom of the page www.wago.com/gb/electrical-interconnections/discover-installation-terminal-blocks-and-connectors/221)
