I am struggling to see it being transformed into a private residence given the scale of the works but it is nevertheless a unique property and should be an asset for the community. I could see it being used for events especially with the benefit of the elevated terrace. Perhaps the Italian govenment has funds for such a project if a good business plan was put in place? It's important to keep economic activity going in these small towns especially if you want to keep young people in the region. Best regards

I have to say that I totally disagree with you that the bathroom needs to be gutted and redone. If the facilities are working, why destroy it. I find it quite charming just some good cleaning. As one commenter said restoration not gutting. And make it a destination wedding venue. I could even see turning the long row of storage units onto hotel rooms potentially and save enough space for an on site caretaker.
