The gaucho knot is my favourite variation of the Turk’s head and I’ve tied dozens of them but most of us find it much easier to tie if the mandrel is horizontal as opposed to vertical.
👍🏼Thank you for posting this tutorial. Used this Gaucho Knot (750 paracord) on the handguard of a Rock Island Armory VR80 semi-auto shotgun for heat mitigation. Great knot for my application. Thanks again. 🇺🇲Stay well. Go in peace.
Nicely done. Thank you for demonstrating this knot. Others have tried, but you have succeeded better than most. Production details that I like include good camera position and framing, good lighting and background, clear and concise narration (w/o excessive babble), and - most importantly - background music that doesn't distract the viewer.
That’s awesome man been looking for a way to do that for a long time thank you. Your tutorial was very simple an easy to follow. You sir u have my subscribe:
Completely agree. I have experience working with a variety of mediums, including paracord, but this video just frustrated the crap out of me. Good production value, poor on how to do the knot.
I have been able to make this now thanking you for showing me how to ,but there is one thing that you are doing wrong and that is the way that you finish off your ends should both come out through the middle of the Turks head one on one side the other on the other side,ok.

Thanks for taking the time to produce such a clear tutorial, it's going to take me some time to get the hang of the over and unders.

Super, thx!
Great! But what's a "type 3 fid"?
Ну ты талантливый, красава, больше видео!
Gaúcho means manos do sul do Brasil
What is the name of the paracord "needle tool" and where can we get it?
We call it a "paracord fid". For 550 paracord you will need a Type III fid. You can find them in our store. www.paracordplanet.com/tools/needles/
After 3 attempts , I can proudly say that I ended up with a very nice lump of cord
Dude i really really like your videos but you seriously need to slow down with the weaving over under
