Operation condor armour of god 2 is the best jackie Chan movie
There IS a sequel, several in fact but really only the next one (Police Story 2) is as good as the first one, you'd also like Project A and Dragons Forever which is probably the best movie uniting the brothers Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung and Yuen Biao.
Who am I in my opinion is the best Jackie Chan movie. Literally non stop action, comedy and survival tips ive never seen before. I will never get bored watching this mans stunts
Essential Jackie:
Police Story 2-4 (PS3 AKA "Supercop" featuring *Michelle Yeoh* and PS4 AKA "First Strike")
Drunken Master II
Project A I-II
Dragons Forever
Armor of God I-II (AOG II AKA "Operation Condor")
Wheels on Meals (not a typo, "Meals on Wheels" was already something else and filed a cease and desist, so they just swapped the words in the title)
Miracles
Rumble in The Bronx
Who Am I
Mr Nice Guy
The Accidental Spy
Who am I is definitely in the top 10 or top 5 Jackie Chan movies
YESSSS!!! Thank you guys for reacting to this movie. A lot of people are sleeping on Jackie’s movies he made in Hong Kong back in the 80’s.🔥💯💯💯
And they are way better than the Hollywood movies
@@peeweewallabowski7084👍
@@peeweewallabowski7084 Facts💯💯
@@peeweewallabowski7084 It also applies to John Woo movies, which did action far better than anything in Hollywood at the time.
I am so glad I grew up in Mexico. TVAzteca in my town would show action and martial arts movies on Saturday nights. I got to watched all of Jackie's 80s movies.
As writer/director/star/stunt coordinator, Chan secured legend status right here before our very eyes with Police Story.
Project a is his first modern masterpiece!
Chan jumps off a balcony and grabs onto a pole, then slides down it while the lights around him break. The pole was actually made of metal, and it was covered in light bulbs that were filled with gas. When the bulbs broke, they released the gas, which ignited and caused the pole to become very hot. The friction of Chan's hands against the pole also caused them to burn.
In addition to the burns on his hands, Chan also fractured a finger and sustained cuts and bruises from the impact of the fall. However, the most serious injury he suffered was a dislocated pelvis. This occurred when he landed at the bottom of the pole and his body weight caused his pelvis to shift out of place. Chan was in a lot of pain, but he was able to finish filming the movie.
The next day, Chan went to the hospital for treatment. He had to have his pelvis put back in place, and he also received treatment for his burns and other injuries. Chan was in the hospital for a few days, but he made a full recovery.
Watch: the legend of the drunken master
I think I remember reading two of three of the dudes thrown out of the bus windows suffered spinal injuries. The whole crew put their lives on the line for this one.
@@Hype679 I'm sure I read that wasn't exactly how that scene was supposed to end. The bus stopped short & that's how the two guys got injured. I think they were supposed to both land on the car.
I'd like to see them to the In The Line of Duty movies too. specifically Yes, Madam which doesn't get the love it deserves.
@@Hype679 Yes its true....they did get hurt.....they were suppose to land on the car but the bus had air brakes so stopping the bus couldn't be done quickly to throw them out the bus windows. Instead of them landing on the car......they landed on the road.
Drunken master first.. then legend of drunken master after.
Hong Kong back then was still a British colony, so that's why they're wearing the wigs in the court, because it follows the British legal system. We do the same thing here in Australia.
The police dept. was also modeled after the British system and required higher police management to undergo schooling at British institutions. Although high ranking police officers back then were usually British Caucasians, there were Chinese graduates from British Ivy League schools who were eligible for police commissions in the British colony, hence the younger aged officers assigned over older native chinese veterans because they graduated from the British Police Academy.
If you didn't notice, the cars going through the shanty town in the beginning is an "inspiration" to a similar sequence in Bad Boys II.
So was the stopping the bus with the crooks flying out scene in Tango & Cash.
Police Story has been ripped off so many times.
Brandon Lee also did a homage to the motorcycle-crashing-through-windows scene in Rapid Fire.
Now i know where Bad Boys 2 took the idea of the cars going down the cliff and through the houses
Tony Jaas idol was Jackie Chan growing up he obviously was inspired by Jackie but also added his own flavor too it.
I am happy you guys watched the original language/English sub version of the movie. For some odd reason a lot of Jackie Chan's Hong Kong movies are heavily edited in the English dub version with stuff cut from dub version. It's always best to watch the movies in the original language
unfortunately for some of his movies those are still the versions used.
I watched all dubbed and subbed.
His stunt team is the best in the world. Some of the falls that they took were incredible and of course Jackie topped them all
Jackie Chan has injured himself so many times in his movie stunts that his old website (sadly not available anymore) had a picture of his skeleton and if you clicked on any bone, it would show a clip of him breaking that bone live on film. I spent hours on that site.
@@charlize1253 Yeah except a lot of is lies. He started lying a lot at one point because the whole I do all of my stunts and fight scene never happened but he got famous outside of China because he was promoted that way overseas. From what I understand everyone knew in China that he never did all of the fight scenes and stunts himself.
@@gandalainsley6467he only ever didn’t do a stunt when he was injured from doing a different one… and this is rare like you can only find a handful of times this has ever happened in his whole career lmao
@@Arkira_X That is what he said but in China supposedly it was always known that he did not do a lot of stunts he said he did. Overseas only couple years that information came out. Jackie likes to lie. He has contradicted himself because of it. For example there was a show from China that was put on youtube and he talked about when he was younger he used to do like three scenes in a day and went home to sleep. Rest was left to stuntmen. The hardworking Jackie showed up years later.(he was talking to people who were upcoming actors in China). The version we know is not real. That is just how he promotes himself overseas.
The reason they show that stunt at the end 3 times is cos of how dangerous and impressive it was, it was live electricty running through that. He had 3rd degree burns on his hands to a point where his skin was sticking to the pole and then he cracked 2 vertibrates in his spine during the final fall of that stunt... Also the movie is jokingly referred to as "Glass story" from cast and crew due to all the glass stunts in the end climax.
You absolutely have to watch the Police Story 2. It's great.
And there's bloopers at the end in almost every Jackie Chan's films
Jackie is pretty famous for the blooper/behind the scenes reels during the credits, he learned it from the director of the movie Cannonball Run which Jackie had a part in. After that it became a staple in his movies.
Not just that Jackie makes sure putting footage at the end to show the whole Audience to see all the Blood Sweat and Tears from everyone that gave their all in creating the very film/movie.
@@jason42080 A lot of it was fake. He went through a lot of trouble to make it seem that he did things that he never did to keep up the image that he did all his stunts(which later he changed to most stunts) and fight scenes.
@@gandalainsley6467Stop lying like seriously. You're a clown who has no idea what he's talking about. Jackie Chan has literally almost lost limb and life. You sit at your mom's house doing nothing fake critic 😆
FUN FACT: Even the leading ladies in this movie did their own stunts, and they're not even action stars..
This is a classic. It's actually one of my favorite Jackie Chan movies. This is when Jackie was in his prime.
His old, pre-hollywood films are way better than his later ones.
Of course lol since he doesn't really like making Hollywood movies because he has less creative control and they apparently they watch him like a hawk so he doesn't do anything too insane lolol
@@nebulous8389that, and also Hollywood have a very strict time frame for filming.
@@kgunitkeese17 apparently Brett Ratner said Jackie edited an amazing fight scene for rush hour and he said you can't do that in American movies. Pssh we were robbed. Even though the fights in rush hour were good just short
Drunken Master TWO, not One. Drunken Master One is not bad, but Two contains what many consider to be one of the, if not THE, greatest fight scenes in cinema history.
100% the end fight is like a tekken fight scene come to life lol
Music is great in it too and remember, watch the original non dub version of the movie @doscavazos
Also, hopefully they'll watch the original Hong Kong version and not the butchered one Dimension Films did.
Please check out Drunken Master II and avoid Legend of the Drunken Master.
what? the original Drunken Master from the 70s is a Jackie Chan classic. It is one of the first movies Chan incorporated comedy into eastern.
@@VicGrimes it's best for them to watch the best of the best Jackie Chan movies first and Drunken Master II is the best of the best. Plus it's not like they're missing anything if they skip straight to the second movie
My favorite Jackie Chan movie. Is police story 4. “Jackie Chan first strike”
He has so many great films its crazy. One of my Fave films of Jackie and the ladder fight is one of best fight scenes I've have ever scene.
Mine too 🔥🔥
@@nebulous8389 yes. That ladder fight. The music is fire. And the comedy is gold.
Rumble in the Bronx is mine
Is that still part of this Chans story I saw and liked A New Police Story but that's a reboot last Police Story I saw before that was Supercop which I didn't realize was a Police Story movie till years later
The Police story franchise are my favourite Jacki Chan films. His 80's and 90's Hong Kong movies are just peak Jacki Chan, can't go wrong with any of them
For all the glass comments there’s a reason why this movie is nicknamed as “Glass Story” due to the amount of stunts involving glass items. Jackie Chan’s movies in the 80s-90s were known to be absolutely brutal when it comes to it’s almost fatal stunts. The man has injured or broken almost every part of his body. Whether it’s burning his hands or having his shoulder severely dislocated, this man and his stunt team goes all in all out with their stunts.
That's not how the court system was in China, but it was in Hong Kong (which was still controlled by the British at the time this was made). Their court system was modeled after the British system. Many British barristers still wear the wigs now.
I love how bad boys two stole driving through the shantytown from this movie😂
By the time this came out in 1985, Jackie had been in many films in Hong Kong, and had been a known star. 'Police Story' is considered by some to be one of the best action movies of all time. It would be ten more years before Jackie had his first major success in the North American market, 'Rumble in the Bronx'.
Some other Jackie Chan movies you may want to check out include (in release order) 'Snake in the Eagle's Shadow' (1978), 'Drunken Master' (1978) ( If you watch them back to back they seem very similar, as they have the same director as well as some of the same actors in starring roles), 'Project A' (1983), 'Wheels on Meals' (1984), 'Armour of God' (1986), 'Armour of God II: Operation Condor' (1991), 'Drunken Master II' (1994) (This movie was released by Dimension Films in 2000 in a re-edited form as 'The Legend of Drunken Master ' ), 'Rumble in the Bronx' (1995), 'Mr. Nice Guy ' (1997), and 'Who Am I?' (1998).
Don't forget Gorgeous! The film itself is garbage but the fights are some of the best imo.
@@StinkyGreenBud I haven't seen that one yet. I might have to check it out.
@matthewcompton3448 I hope you do. It has one of my favorite fight scenes in it between Jackie and Brad Allen (rip). Allen was part of Jackie's stunt team and a beast at martial arts.
I also like one with car racing.
@@StinkyGreenBud I liked it when I was a kid. It was my favorite Jackie Chan movie. Also fun fact: you can see his fight scene double multiple times in that movie. They moved camera too much and you could see the guy fully couple of times in the last fight scene.
There are so many amazing, incredible Jackie Chan movies he made in the 80's and 90's. Operation Condor/Armour of God, for one, that had one of the most painful stuntman wipe outs I had ever seen. What I like about the Police Story/Supercop series is that it begun Maggie Cheung's career (...girlfriend May) who went on to become a prominent female Hong Kong action star herself. The crazy dynamic of misunderstanding between Jackie and May became a template for subsequent Police Story movies and his relationship with the women in his movies generally speaking. Jackie absolutely pushed the envelope of stunts in movies but also being such an iconic hero of the Hong Kong cinema movement in America.
I hope you watch more of this series, Supercop (...Police Story 3) is probably my favorite Jackie Chan movie of all time.
More Jackie Chan films (Drunken Master 2, Police Story 2, Supercop, First Strike, Rumble in the Bronx, Who Am I, and Operation Condor) are the most watchable and accessible Jackie Chan movies for a reaction that I can think of at the top of my head. :)......incredible stunts and innovative action in those
Project A and A part 2??? Dragons Forever and Wheels on Meals with his two "Brothers".
@@VicGrimes Wheels on Meals has one of the best visual gags of all time at the start.
Police Story 2 is even better! Jackie always improves his art, stunts, directing, script.
Gotta watch "Rumble in the Brox"...top 3 Jackie Chan movie for me
Jackie's first film in the US was The Big Brawl/Battle Creek Brawl, which came out in 1980.
I just did a pre-order of Battle Creek Brawl for the new 88 film’s release, even though I have it in the volume 1 Shout box release.😎🕺🤪
The fighting here is brutal, as are his stunts.
Please react to more of Jackie Chan's movies. I recommend Police Story 2, Police Story 3: Supercop, Dragons Forever, Wheels on Meals and a lot more other classics!
Yeahh finally.. complete the series Police story 1 2 3 4 5 😊
Oh yeah, definitely catch the rest of the series as you can. I grew up watching these and they're always fantastic.
Be aware, in the primary Canto language audio, his character's name is Chan Ka-Kui, and he'll have the nickname "Kevin". But in some of the english dubbed versions of the different films, they change his character's name to his own name "Jackie Chan". But the first 4 films (+1 spinoff, Supercop 2) are the same characters in the same continuity.
Afterwards, there was a New Police Story (2004) and Police Story 2013 (2013), which are both Jackie Chan but reboots where he plays different protagonist characters but who are also cops named "Chan".
New Police Story (2004) I thought was ok, the action scenes where great. I don't think the drama parts of it worked too well.
Police Story 2013 (2013) or Police Story: Lockdown (2013) I didn't really like that much, not a good movie in my opinion.
In the Police Story: Lockdown version of Police Story 2013 the character's name is Wen.
I think Drunken Master 2 in it's original cantonese language is super hard to find but you guys gotta find and watch that version. It's pretty amazing
It's not hard to find any more. It's had multiple Blu-ray releases across the world and is probably streaming somewhere, legally.
@@LeviBoldock Cantonese version is rare. You're talking about the English dub version aka horrible trash version
@@BigB0ss00 No, I'm not. The uncut Cantonese version with English subtitles is available on Blu-ray in the US, Canada, UK, Germany, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan. And it may be available to stream, too. I couldn't tell you where though because I don't stream anything.
It's really not that rare any more.
@@LeviBoldock if that's true then it's great news
@@BigB0ss00 I wouldn't lie to you.
When a person is recommending Jackie Chan films to someone and they mention The Legend of Drunken Master, I'll usually be the first one to jump in and say, "no, don't watch that shit - watch the original version called Drunken Master II instead!" 😆
Jackie Chan is a greatest action superstar all the time. I have watched his movies so many times, I still like them. I love him and his movies. I hope he still live with us forever.
For me, Jackie Chan and the silent film star/director Bustor Keaton are the two greatest stuntmen who ever lived. No CGI can ever be as impressive as those guys.
One of my favorite Jackie Chan movies of all time. The Police Story franchise is an absolute classic. Majority of Jackie's role is comedic martial arts but in Police Story its straight up art of ass whooping. And he will always be the king of stunts
The stunt team nicknamed the movie Glass Story. All those stunts in the climax used specially made sugar glass that was twice as thick as normal, and all those cuts are real.
One of my favorite Jackie Chan movie, this is Jacki at his best, I also recommend the Armor of God franchise
38:42 Jackie Chan got injured severely while doing that stunt. 1. The Christmas lights wrapped around the pole heated the pole. So when Jackie slid down the scorched pole, he suffered second-degree burns to his hands. 2. When Jackie crashes and lands through the kiosk below, he broke his back and dislocated his pelvis.
Jackie Chan has injured himself so many times in his movie stunts that his old website (sadly not available anymore) had a picture of his skeleton and if you clicked on any bone, it would show a clip of him breaking that bone live on film. I spent hours on that site.
@@charlize1253 Wow. I've never heard of that site. It would've been so cool to check out.
He was also electricuted...the lights were supposed to be plugged into a secondary battery but were mistakenly plugged into a main building outlet.
That was one of Jackie's favorite/most dangerous stunts - he mentioned it in so many interviews, so that's probably why it was shown so many times. Lol. Pleasantly surprised to see Brigitte Lin here - I totally love her. Can't wait until the Police Story one with Michelle Yeoh :D
Few first time viewers are prepared for how hardcore Jackie and his team went on the stunts and fights in this. That and the comedy. The mall scenes are truly unbelievable, and the fight between the main henchmen here are some of Jackie's best. Just another day on the job for him, and Police Story is another in the long line of film masterpieces from the Man
Tom Cruise started doing his own stunts only after he saw the impact Jackie was having by doing his stunts himself. And for the record, Jackie Chan edits all his own fight scenes.
In Project A, there is also a big stunt by Jackie Chan at the end. They also show it three times. It's an artistic choice to create emphasis and not because they couldn't decide which camera angle was good. Whether anybody likes this approach or not, that's a different story.
And, by the way, do react to Police Story 2 and The Drunken Master as well. Thank you.
Make sure you watch drunken master 2, the first one is a classic, but very cult, the 2nd one is just amazing. Drunken master 2 has almost nothing to do with the first one so you won’t be missing anything.
Thanks, guys, for reacting to this request. He's awesome and one of my favorite martial artists in the comedy category. After you go through a lot of his movies to react to, there's also Jet Li, Donnie Yen, Sammo Hung, and Michelle Yeoh films to watch, I can help with suggestions. More Jackie Chan films from the late 70's and 80's: Magnificent Bodyguards, The Hand Of Death, Drunken Master, Snake In The Eagle's Shadow, New Fist Of Fury, The Killer Meteors, To Kill With Intrigue, Project A, Project A2, Dragon Lord, Heart Of Dragon, Winners And Sinners, My Lucky Stars, Spiritual Kung Fu, Battle Creek Brawl, The Fearless Hyena, The Young Master, The Protector, Fantasy Mission Force, Wheels On Meals, Armour Of God, Dragons Forever, Police Story 2, Twinkle Twinkle Lucky Stars. There's also Supercop and New Police Story. Jackie has more films in the 90's and up to watch.
Rush Hour, for oldschool Jackie Chan fans, is the end of an era. While those movies would make a ton of money, and got Jackie and Chris Tucker their biggest paydays ever... his American movies were always a big step down from the 'classic' Hong Kong Chan movies from the late 70s and early 80s, and due to age and injury, Jackie's Hong Kong output wound down in the 2000s. "Who Am I" and "Gorgeous" are maybe the 2 best post-Rush Hour films
39:00 They filmed it from three different camera angles because they could only shoot it once. And thankfully it was a good thing they captured it all during one take.
Someone mentioned in a previous comment what happened to Jackie Chan after he performed the stunt. The injuries he suffered were severe.
It is still one of his famous stunts too. The footage definitely shows how committed he was to doing the jump.
This film was my introduction to modern kung fu cinema two decades ago. It's still his greatest film.
the craziest thing is that Jackie directed this film while spending the other half of his day filming a completely different movie! In fact, he went from the famous "pole slide" stunt (they replayed the stunt from 3 different angles I think so that no one could doubt Jackie did it himself or think he used camera tricks to make it seem more dangerous than it really was) where he sustained second-degree burns, to the set of the other movie without seeking medical attention. Insane work ethic.
And they destroyed a real shantytown in the opening sequence. They compensated the residents with new places to live apparently.
From the way he fall, that were not only 3 different angles, but 3 different shots.
80's and 90's Jackie Chan was definitely prime Jackie.
Love this one and Police Story 2. Project A is worth your attention too.
jackie chan, sammo hung and the hong kong stunt teams were the direct inspirations to free running/parkour movement in the following years. same as kung fu inluenced pop and lock/breakdancing
Just discovered 3 interesting facts about the movie:
Fact #1 - All the glass in the entire fight scene in the mall is known as “sugar glass”. It’s basically just a see through brittle type of sugar that can be made to look like glass. It breaks away easily and is totally harmless so its used all the time in action movie stunts. They used it for this movie too, but it was decided here to make it extra thick for realism purposes. This means that this safe prop sugar basically became as hard as actual glass!!
So whenever someone is being thrown through sheets of the stuff, (36:24/36:33/36:52/37:26/37:31/37:47) or when Jackie gets his head smashed against it, (36:27), they would feel the impact as if it were the real thing. The pain in their faces and the cuts and bruises they have are, by all accounts, totally legit!
Fact #2: (38:42) Hands! Down! One of Jackie's biggest stunts to date. There was NO safety rope and NO safety net. Literally jumped onto that pole and slid down it. It took him a while to gain the courage to do that stunt. He gave a scream to psyche himself up before launching himself onto that pole. You don't hear it, but you see his mouth letting out a scream.
Fact #3: When Jackie was sliding down the pole, he didn’t just burn the skin off his hands… no… he suffered electrocution, fractured his ribs, and dislocated his pelvis.
**What’s even crazier is later that day hours after his initial on set recovery, he had another shoot to go to, decided he was fine and went anyways.
When he got to the studio he found that he couldn't open the door. Next thing he knew, he suddenly couldn't move and collapsed to the floor.
It was later discovered that he had a mild stroke. Yet, he gladly survived and was able to keep making this movie! To this day, it is hard for me to think that he is really human or if he just has that much willpower that nothing can stop him from making movies!!
Jackie Chan isn’t just unstoppable, he is one of a kind!**
Jackie chan is a Actor,Singer,Writer,Director, producer, martial artist, stunt director, stunt man and even as an editor. He edited some of his movies, too.
Finally someone reviewing old h.k movies
Glad that you guys enjoyed this classic! I remember watching it originally, and the ending wasn't that abrupt. There's a scene where Selina helps May back up, and they gather together outside by the police cars. Also, when the Captain says "I didn't see anything," that happens after Jackie kicks the villain on the cart, not before. Maybe the version you saw was edited.
By far my fav Martial Arts actor of all time, and for me he's the most skillful & funniest too
Of course part 2 is pretty solid but part 3 with Michelle Yeoh as his partner in a undercover mission is the best.
Ps:both must watch
fist of fury 1972 with the legendary one and only Bruce Lee the OG of Martial Arts.💪🏼
The story behind it is even crazier. And that says a lot as this movie has a stunt has almost killed him (Christmas lights). When the Protector fell below expectations, Jackie decided to do Police Story, pulled out 1 or 2 mortgages on his home to finance the film. Acting, directing, co-producing, he also sang the theme song. It truly was his baby, And he was already a parkour master.
New Police Story is my favorite, one of the earliest emotional movies from childhood.
In terms of martial arts movies, Jackie Chan's signature style is a very chaotic, loose, wild swinging, always on the back foot. He's always trying to avoid fighting, and to escape. By contrast, you have someone like Jet Li, who is very precise, poised and very dangerous. The Drunken Master movies are great BTW. It's a rare style within the Shaolin umbrella. It's not very practical, or efficient, but it does give the advantage of being unpredictable.
I'm glad you watch the mandarin version,, since the english version have a lot of scene cut off
Those silly white wigs were required by lawyers in court in Hong Kong, which was a british colony. That's how they do it in England.
If you're looking for more classic Jackie Chan movies, the main 4 would be Wheels on Meals and Dragons Forever which has his legendary fights with Benny the Jet Uriquez, along with Drunken Master and Legend of Drunken Master (Drunken Master 2). Newer Jackie Chan would include Who Am I, Rumble in the Bronx, and Mr. Nice Guy.
For Jet Li, you're looking at Once Upon a Time in China 1-3 and Fearless.
For Bruce Lee, any movie. Fists of Fury, Enter the Dragon, Return of the Dragon, Game of Death, and Chinese Connection.
For Jean Claude Van Damme, The Quest and Kickboxer.
For Tony Jaa, Ong Bak 2, Ong Bak 3, and The Protector (Tom Yum Goong).
For Steven Seagal, Above the Law.
For Brandon Lee, The Crow, Showdown in Little Tokyo, and Rapid Fire.
For Mark Dacascos (spelling?), Only the Strong. (A movie about the Brazillian Martial Art Capoeira starring the person best known by many as the Chairman in the US version of Iron Chef.)
Great list of Jackie films but I would add Project A 1 and 2 and Armor of Gods 1 and 2, which is Jackie as Indiana Jones.
@@gishgali8354 Of those, the first Project A is the best.
Jackie vs Benny is goated

Jackie Chan is indeed insane. He's been banged up, beat up, cut up, broken so many bones and set on fire so much, yet still laughed the Grim Reaper in the face. Other stunt actors are impressive, but Jackie Chan is number one, bar none. He's been blacklisted so much from insurance companies and sent to the hospital so much, but still carries on shooting. In Hong Kong cinema, they put a heavy emphasis on the action scenes and not so much on safety in comparison to Western films. One scene that can last mere seconds could take days, weeks, maybe months to do. You two should watch Top 10 craziest Jackie Chan stunts that almost killed him and How to Do Action Comedy.
Man, that scene when the bus really brake, and all the bad guys just flew out of fron windows still the thing. XD
As Jackie said himself, the team didn't knew that the bus would brake that way (you know, air brake, not clamp the brake disk like normal cars)
Project A,Mr Nice Guy,and Police Story 2 are also great ones Dragons forever would also be a good one as well
Project A has always been my favorite Jackie movie
This movie coming to almost 4 decades. I'm glad that even this generation of audience still find this movie interesting & exciting. Cheers from Malaysia.
To fans this film gets called 'Glass Story' because of the end sequence in the mall.
The stunt when he slides down the pole had issues that aren't visible. The electrics hadn't been sorted so it was all live and electrocuted him as he slides down.
Thank you for reacting to Police Story. Yours is the best reaction as you included a lot of the funny scenes from the movie i.e. the fake assassin scene, the scenes with May, the court scene and the phones scene.😂😂😂
❤ ❤❤❤ Loving your thumbnails! Great reaction!
That's Maggie Cheung (the girlfriend) from Hero (which also starred Jet Li, Donnie Yen, and Tony Leung). She's retired from acting. This is in the 80s when Jackie Chan's popularity was at his height spreading across Asia. Drunken Master is in the 70s in his earlier career, and he finally headed for Hollywood in the 90s. FYI, Michelle Yeoh showed up in Police Story 3
not many "have the right to be an attorney" lol :)
This was fantastic, thanks guys, wonderful reaction.
Wheels On Meals if you do any others please (or pretty much any of his 80s-90s but that's my fav for the skateboarding stunts and the epic final fight scenes)
37:02 Jackie actually F'ed up that stunt by not knocking the shelves down. Then the crew was like, wth, lets just crash that shelf DOWN ONTO HIM.
Should give The Foreigner a watch I think that’s a fantastic Jackie Chan & Pierce Bronson movie
Dragons Forever is my favourite Jackie Chan movie, which I watch at least once a year. It has a whole final showdown fight scene that goes and goes and GOES. It's incredible, and I thoroughly recommend it.
There's an alternative ending where Jackie and co are arrested.
Also, Jsckie sung the theme song to this awesome movie!
Jackie is a true legend, love him so much as a chinese
Jackie Chan stunt team 3 step process: 1. ACTION! 2.JUMP 3.HOSPITAL
I love the reaction! You guys are cool! But I hope you guys really understand how impressive the stunts and choreography is.
There is no better hand to hand martial arts action than these HK movies. Jackie Chan is the goat of fighting scenes and stunts. But also his team is incredible. No fighting looks more impressive, no punch feels more real, no kick more powerful and no fight sequence more visceral.
Another fun Jackie Chan movie, also starring Jet Li, is The Forbidden Kingdom. You'll see Jackie's Drunken Master style there, too. Another great reaction to another great movie!
Righttt that was a fun one!...wish we got more prime jackie and jet li fight scenes together
One of my favorite Jackie Chan movies.
Watch the whole series of Police Story! One of my favorite franchise of all time since I was a kid! And I'm 27 now and that says something for how old this movie was and still captivate new audience.
Fearless hyena, spiritual kung fu, snake in the eagles shadow are amazing Jackie Chan movies
Lol. I never noticed before, but the lawyer's wig is on inside-out. 😄
The other week a random short video of Jackie and his daughter looking at a compilation of his stunts popped up on my feed. I mean the feels of that video was so great. ❤️ glad you guys are taking this OG journey.
Jackie's vintage catalogue is a treasure trove. Peak martial arts/action comedy galore.
Already subscribed to you, thank you for setting Chinese subtitles
There are three more and all of them are awesome. Police Story films are THE films to watch
Police Story is by far the best high octane movie ever made and never will be made that was again.
Police Story 2 takes it to another level
42:10 If that scene surprised you, than you need to see Bad Boys 2, they stole that scene and scaled up it even bigger. AND yeah, in the scene were he slides down the pole, Jackie got hurt, he burned the skin off his hands, with other burns and I think, dislocated his pelvis. It was a crazy stunt.
And he sang the ending credits, this movie is so good they released it on to Criterion.
Too much Legendary Scenes by Jackie Chan in this movie.
"Enter the Dragon" is the most well known Bruce Lee Movie. Recommend it.
to this day, i'm still waiting for them to react the sequels.
