thank you for making this, i’ve been retraumatized because of the holidays as well this year. i always hated holidays because of what my family did. it’s nice to have this to remind myself that i can enjoy things :))
I'm sorry to hear that you are in a situation that compounds your disability. All the best to you and I hope that life gets better for you. You have some some good strategies!
I have a lot of really harmful, traumatic memories from childhood regarding the holidays. So I try to create as many positive memories every year to help me fight against the bad ones. This video had a lot of really helpful content in it.. and I really, truly hope things get better for you as soon as possible.
Virtual hugs for you 🫂 you’re so strong for getting through everything you’ve been through, and are still fighting through it I’m sorry you have to go back to places that make you feel like this, ik how it feels being trapped like that and you can’t do anything about it because of health reasons. I can’t put this in words how much being around my family affects me mentally and physically but need to be here because of health reasons especially because now I’m an adult, it feels a lot worse knowing I don’t have the freedom that most now adults have to leave the place that makes them feel this way but I can’t do that. So ur videos really help me. Thank you for this video, like always u always make me feel more comforted
Hi, Lia. I’m so sorry you’re in a situation that’s triggering. *big hugs* But so glad you’re finding ways to feel better, and sharing them on here. You are such a sweet, kind and compassionate person, and my heart goes out to you ❤ Happy holidays to you and your Caregiver, and all those you both cherish. Stay strong, and always remember how awesome you are ❤⛄️🎄❤
Thank you so much for the video. Holidays have always been incredibly difficult for me, lots of love to anyone in the same boat with relatives that make this time of year hard. ❤
I’ve been having a rough time during this holiday season too. I’m hoping that you can navigate this time safely and can hold space for yourself despite your current surroundings ❤ this video was super helpful and gave me some techniques to help deal with it. I’d be super interested in learning more about your experiences with hypnotherapy and the mind palace!
I'm so sorry you're in this situation. I went nc in 2021, after moving to another state. The holidays are always tricky because everyone else has family. It gets a little better, each year. I'm also a former pagan, so Happy Yule! I realized I'm an atheist almost a year ago. I was a pagan for twenty years; as an atheist, I've learned more about Christianity and the Bible than I did as a Christian for those fifteen years before being pagan. Anyway, as an atheist, I've learned that there's no proof that Jesus existed at all, even historically. The Bible doesn't actually say when his birthday was. It's true that the mythology says it was warm where they were, but beyond that they don't really know.
very good and interesting video. I understand how you feel my half brother abused me when I was a kid right from when I was a baby cos he was jealous of me because he blamed me for taking his dad from him. I also witnessed him hitting his step daughter who I was close to at the time. sorry yo went through this, I am a pagan too so I have my pagan traditions. I will try these things thanks
