Blender needs to promote itself as a replacement for Microsoft Power Point! Imagine demoing a new product lets say Adidas shoe in 3D...rotating the 3D model shoe...making slight adjustments to improve the shoes color, shape, size etc all in REALTIME....Wow...magic!

Now THAT is a great idea! Can you make a PowerPoint presentation in Blender? Well you can...

@@PCaggegi I did it once and blue the few people that watched it away. Import each slide as "Image as plain" arrange them in the background and pull them forward as you need them. Use the ANNOTATE tool to mark up you Slides....Massive better than PowerPoint.

@@rededwards3479 sounds cool, how do switch from one slide to the next, during a presentation? With a remote for instance.. we'd need a way for blender to automatically pause à some point, and switch to the next thing with just a button.. 🤔.
Now I wanna try it for my next corporate presentation.. 😄

@@PCaggegi but you don't use blender instead of PowerPoint.. that's what I meant 🙂 using the potential of 3d animation for a presentation, that could be interesting. A bit like the prezy trend a few years back.
Great presentation by the way. Can't wait to try this storyboard add-on.
There's another add-on from a guy working for Ubisoft, that looks interesting. You should check it maybe.
      Have good fly back😉

@Paul O Caggegi , at 6:20, the mouse actually enters the screen when you wave the remote, and it displayed the video play options. check this part of the video out before your next presentation. I beeive this could solve your problem. Hope this helps!

I’ve been storyboarding professionally for feature films for over 20 years. In that time I went from pencil and paper to digital but keeping it simple. I just use a stylus, Wacom tablet and Clip Studio. I do use Blender for modelling but think the interface just a bit too cumbersome for storyboarding. Storyboards have to be produced quickly and efficiently and quite often on the fly. For producing an animatic, however, Blender would probably be useful and may be something I explore in the future.

I don't understand how to edit grease pencil strokes in 2.8+. In 2.7 they used to be selectable and appear in the outliner

I was really looking forward to a talk on grease pencil storyboarding in particular as I was experimenting with it myself and to see this presentation fail to actually present a huge chunk of the material is heartbreaking :(
    Still, thanks for effort~

I'd assumed pptx would be the most popular format. Nope. Keynote was the way to go this year 🙃 pptx had issues on playback. Learned this too late.
