Pro Tip: Make sure you paraglide directly from the Fish Eye to the building dark zone because trust me if you take a longer route (like i did for three hours), the chances of the Hive spawning are much lower about 1 in every 10 rests, but if you go directly from the fish eye to the dark zone in a pretty much straight line it almost spawns every time. I hope this helps :)
Something really cool that i figured out tho, right above the hive is a swing bar you can hold on to that bar while shining a light on the hive so it constantly sees you and it will constantly keep calling virals while the virals dont attack you. So depending on how long you wanna wait, the hive will just keep spawning virals you can even literally have 300 virals inside that building. Or you could just stand on above the bookshelf where the hive is facing so it constantly sees you and constantly keep spawning virals if u worry about your stamina draining from just holding the bar. So depending on how many quantity of virals u want spawned, go down with the regen booster bc if u go down 300 virals will try to kill u. 300 isnt a limit im just giving a number but thats still alot. Updated: i realized that if you spawn too much they will die instantly. Some of the loot ended up outside the building
If you just want to farm volatiles, in the south east part of the map section that has the fish eye, there is a survivor house where you get the quests “the reddest red” just beside that building is a second building with two rooftops on two different levels and a trapdoor for enemies on the upper part. A volatile seems to always spawn on that roof somewhere, and for whatever reason, during a chase, only volatiles spawn out of that trapdoor. You can sit there and camp them. If they stop spawning and the chase stops, you can run between the two levels and a new volatile will spawn on one of the two levels, get seen, kill it, repeat
This is amazing- JUST what i was looking for- no volatiles and a high spawn rate- amazing. My first night has ended and i just kept it going; The volatiles didnt come back, nor does the infected spawning stop. It did once.. until i slapped the ugly thing to start singing again- chorus came running back in 👍. I have currently collected 200 uncommon trophys with lots more on the ground. Amazing technique!
Um.. so a few volatiles spawned.. then I was like- "wth, I keep running out of stamina fending these infected off" and that wasn't happening before.. I stayed so long a second ugly bastard spawned in and it literally doubled the spawn rate of infected!! It's uh.. a little much 😖 But I'm earning 2 uncommon trophy's per swing(almost) and I can barely keep stamina so.. best glitch on top of best farm EVER yaaayy xD
Nice. A stamina booster might help. Also look for a high damage weapon with stats like high stamina regeneration on power attack. That will help a lot. Won’t run out of stamina no matter how much you swing.
Thanks! Works like a charm. There was no hive when I got there, but I cleared the place just for fun. Went outside, found a bolter, killed it, and then I noticed the place I just walked out of turned into a hive. Killed the volatiles through the small dooropening on the top floor, went in and just went ape on the virals. I had a spark mod weapon, but there was no problem with the hive. It's pretty strong so it can take a bunch of hits anyway. I think the stopping of the virals has something to do with the amount of bodies, and running away anywhere turns them into lootbags, freeing up room. Weird thing is, I'm playing on hard and after the initial volatiles I hadn't seen a single one outside or inside after. Only virals. Fine by me though 😄
This worked for me! its 2024. Clear the area if there is no hive. Get out. Dont go too far. You can just go outside the door by the entrance. Then go back and check. It worked for me after reading this step.
There is a little hideout in a train car you can activate directly to the left of this dark hollow. You can just keep sleeping and you'll be able to see whenever the hive spawns.

if you're farming volatiles there's a method like 250m northeast of the fisheye. you go to the bandit camp, you cant have it it completed. climb to the top of the building by the windmill, there should be a volatiles up there. start a chase. there should be a crane in the corner of the building if you jump onto that crane and crouch right between the base of the crane and the start of the arm (like right where the winches are) that volatile can't get you stay there as long as you want. when you're done go down to the bottom of the building and find the elevator with the uv lights. shouldn't be too difficult because there will be a ton of dead volatiles and loot sitting on the ground for you
i dont think this works anymore, volatiles now spawn inside...they sure are quick to patch the useful stuff, and nerf stuff. But bugs, yeah lets keep them

I found a glitch in cillians house, when its night make a volatile chase you them enter the door that faces the hospital. When you enter the door volatile will accidently enters cillians house then gets stuck and dies to uv light, i even managed to take 2 volatiles in. It is not that efficent but it is really good for new players.i got 12-18 volatiles a night
In my case, I love to loot with chases in night playing around the entrance of the Metro Station in Old Villedor, Houndfield. You can easily kill like 20 volatiles there and like 40 virals.
i have no idea what just happened i was doing this trick and then out of no where the entire floor was covered in electricity and it killed me in 2 shocks

Hey, Its not bc of your lvl iam lvl 3 and its working for me make sure you land right from fish eye to the building where the hive spawns there is bigger chance that there appears an anomaly somewhere close you need to kill it and go away from the building and again fly above the building and it should spawn, if not just fast travel to metro and fly again it may spawn. MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT CALL CHASE BC YOU WILL LOST THE PROGRESS ON THE ANOMALY. :)

Does it constantly and I have tried everything it was the same with dying light the first one always kick you to dashboard what I have found to help us to unplug your power box and keep it out for about half an hour. It does not fix the problem is just cause it to crash less

I found a respawn that gives Leveled weapons 3 of them 6 packs each contains 4 honey and 6 camalita (most important) Random clothing 4spawns Scraps And they all are gotten and respawn in the same place

That’s really unfortunate. It has a really low chance of spawning so it can take some time. Sometimes it’s just a case of taking a short break from it, go do a mission or mess around far away and try again. Maybe also try other dark hollows and see if any of those spawn
I like to go to the baba location and sit on the top of the brick wall in the left corner. I get like 50-75 large infected, 50-100 small and at least 10-20 mediums

I thought it was the event that was slowing me down in collecting those green medals but One whole night (I had to stop it cause I was afraid of my bags were gonna dissappear) and I got 225 green medals. 🎉🎉🎉
I chose to fight on the bridge that led to that small village on the platform cause when I got Chased I was able to kill them easily and if I ever got overwhelmed I would jump into the water and try again.
I still have problem with medium trophy, I have plenty of those from common zombies and a lot of those unique from volatiles (because every volatile has it), but where to farm those in middle, that's a mistery for me, it looks like zombies randomly trop it time to time, but I still didn't find out way how to farm it in a more efficient way. To kill hundreds or volatiles is easy since you have the best molotov, granades, UV light and good bow.
This method still works for April 2024! Also, there are additionally, like, 50 bags at the street to pick up. Looks like Virals push each other to death

So glad i have the glitched 2 dying light 1 weapons from the dlc, maked doing everything in the game so easy lmao, seems like cheats one shotting practically every enemy in the game, but after beating it 5 times, glad theres something so OP, i wish there was a free play gamemode that doesnt let you have any ex gain, just to have it there for fun, like a bunch of crazy setyings like one hit kill, or low gravity, or the broom, or even dying light 1 guns, adding in as many zombies you want, man how cool it woukd be to have such a feature in a game like this
How can you get so much battery? Haha I struggle with them, i don't want to spend a whole day runing around searching for battery, is that how you get your stuff? Must be a lot of game time if so
is there a way to get a nest to spawn consistently it takes over a hour for one to spawn you do get a lot of materials when when one does spawn but it takes so long your way better off just running around the map killing infected normally

Im trying to do this and understand how to do it but there are no volotiles spawning outside and the zombies do spawn but obly stay in 1 room without coming through the wooden barrier there always Stuck at there spawn points until a large flock is in 1 room and about 1 or 2 come to me

I think you can keep going but maybe at some point the spawns might stop and volatiles might show up. I haven’t gone long enough to see

Try kill any nearby anomalies like blue markers or anything like that. That normally helps

Sometimes it takes a while for it to spawn. If you have the main city unlocked it should work
Was this just hotfixed? I got it to happen pretty consistently but it hasnt spawned for a few days now
It just has a low chance now due the the recent events. I don’t think they would patch a deliberate mechanic.

You probably already got this answered by yourself or someone else but yes, you'll just need to leave and come back, it takes a few tries tho

Wait so if your do it during the day they Spawn more often ??
There are more volatiles and the volatile nest does not spawn. So this does not work during the day

Does anyone use the bazaar roof farm IV used it for farming volatiles & virals but requires you kill everything I'd love to know what a single night in game doing your method gets you ??

Mar 24 tried for about an hour only got one hive to spawn and volatiles spawn inside so you can imagine how frustrated I am this crap don’t work

Im trying to do this and understand how to do it but there are no volotiles spawning outside and the zombies do spawn but obly stay in 1 room without coming through the wooden barrier there always Stuck at there spawn points until a large flock is in 1 room and about 1 or 2 come to me

@MurrayFrostGames Yeah does it work anymore or no? I went on there and the hive spawned but I killed everything in the room but instead of the hive not ending and the virals coming in the hive ended and just gave me the reward

You get more xp when killing virals but if loot is your only goal then it’s unnecessary risk

Kill volatiles mainly you’ll farm them easy later on after you level up.
