The cave is somewhere behind my base. I have spent the last 4 days trying to find the entrance. Thankfully, today I will see Queen Tami, and she will show me how to get there.

Hey Cheese, hope you are having a great time :D As of my experience in Ark SP if the artifact refuses to respawn, it helps to leave the cave, wait 5 to 10 minutes and check if the artifact appeared. Sometimes it helps to unload and load in the cave several times, but since some time all artifacts seem to have spawning issues in SP. When I started playing Ark two years ago, artifact respawn worked well for me (except skylord of course), but I think last year after an update it got bugged.
Ein Individuum I seem to recall a post saying if you switch to ghost mode and render in from below it will spawn the artifact. Maybe that rings a bell to someone.
For me when I was playing with a groups friends, the artifacts always respawn once you leave the cave and come back. So essentially after getting the artifact we came back in and just got ourselves another one... also there is super rabies, in this cave, me and my friends got annihilated by it once the megalania appeared, we didn’t have antidotes, fun times
Hey cheese I have found out that the Baryonyx is a great Dino for this cave since there are water parts. So excited for this series to continue and can’t wait to watch more streams!
Bary are one of my favs. They are some of the most versatile dino in the game, awesome in water, any depth, small enough to fit any where, fast, nimble, just gotta watch out for Jellfishes... those and Tusos are only thing that can be a threat in the water with a Bary. On land, it is still fast, it can jump and still great damage. They are always my first attack land/water dino when I start. EZ to tame, hardy to use. Can't say enough about them. They are like the Marines for me, first to fight. HOORAH. ;)

Yay! Glad to see the Beginners Guide back. Pst...you could have reached the cave faster if you went the opposite direction from your base and around the cliff. I ended up putting a base in roughly the same area. :)
You could get a pet monkey too... it sits on your shoulder and throws poop. Also, that particular route from the bay might be blocked by the foundations of a dino pen on my server, maybe.
They did a couple updates fairly recently that reset ALL of the game settings and character levels. That would explain a bit some of the weirdness you are seeing.

Stupid cave took my baryonyx from me barely even in the cave. I was busy looking at a dung beetle I wanted to tame and I saw the fateful red words at the top of my screen. RIP Barry, his big smile will forever be missed😭

I don't know why, but actually, my dinos are way lower about stats, and I can't push more than 180 for the dino's level. If I was about to rush a cave like this, my dinos would die almost instalntly, it seems to be a hundred times easier than normal ark gameplay. Even my rex doesn't have that much pv than your sabertooth, Idk if it's about settings or what, but really, the gameplay seems oddly easy (same for stacking prime meat, for gathering etc)
That artifact re-spawn bug on single player is a pain, the worst is in the Icy crouching cave in the NW, a lot of times the artifact won't spawn at all. I think its the artifact of the skylord.
Hey Cheese, I really love your vids! Maybe you could do a paracer platform base next ep? One where it's an impregnable tank or something? I'm kinda confused right now on how to do it cuz I'm new to ark. :)

I think the start of this beginners series was no mods, then he reached a certain point where it didn't matter (or was just annoying not to have them) and put the mods back on.
Question: Will the Centipedes destroy armor in your inventory? I was thinking since the Saber was wrecking them so easily that if you wanted to preserve your armor if you could just un-equip it temporarily while the cat rips them to shreds.
@@RoyaleWithCheese Awesome. When I head to this cave, I think that's what I'll try. Just remove my gear (maybe for the whole thing) to ensure I don't come out with a bunch of broken gear. lol. Nice vids btw. Already subbed. :p
@@casmx7300 A common recommendation is just using hide armor, because it can be repaired with nothing but hide and fiber which don't weigh much so it's not a big deal to bring some in with you. If you take a hit, you're not totally out armor for the rest of the cave.
I used my lvl 112 therizinosaur for this cave, he almost died because of the armor destroying assholes and I have tamed dino dmg on default so if you're playing on eazy setting that's probably not gonna happen
Hey man, im playing a server my friend hosted and when we enter the cave, there is almost to none creatures there. We only found 2 megalanias and the rest were empty, does anyone know how to fix this?
I gotta ask being a noob and only a week into the game. whats the point of the otter holding more then 1 artifact. Why do u need more then 1 of the same one?
I would like to have a Centipede as a pet inside my little base to defend i bet those raiders would run out scared because i also have an x plant inside base as well auto heavy turret on the wall he would have to be 130 and up before i think of taming him so when i do he wont be taken out as quickly 😅

This is my story what happened in ARK last day while I was playing (I AM PLAYING SINGLEPLAYER):I played ark and made myself a raft then I followed the river and came to a swamp then I died and came home then I made myself a raft again and then I went back to the swamp to get that old raft I died again and came home again then I got angry and created a rex for myself with commands then I went to the swamp to take revenge and to take back my raft after that I killed that REX becouse I want too play normal without commands NOW I am happy :))))

How did you tame a Sabertooth to level 319 on The Island? Mod? Usual wild dinos are max level 120 and tamed to 180. Plus about 65 levels when you use the hell out of your dino and it's about max 245. I have modes and my max base on some tames is 189 with tek dinos about 210.

Is it possible to do this cave with carno lvl15? Or iguanodon lvl 75?
I'm level 100 and have never left the island.. or gotten single artifact. I've just now started seriously breeding.

Played for almost three hundred hours and this’ll be my fist cave…
I’m deff late to game but I believe what happen was that u didn’t put the artifact into the otter so the new one didn’t spawn.
Once u have a brontosaurus u can have ur Saber on it, with ur chibi and ur otter that would look awesome :D
How to make the cave brighter? I'm on mobile! And my otter can't even carry one artifact! And cant store artifact on storage box

Caves always use dimorphs with a healing mount
For lava caves I use flying mount with all dimorphs 5 to 6 and the caves become easy

It will only destroy the armor you're actually wearing

It’s called a gps and is craftable in the fabricator or found in drops

Breeding. As long as you don't play on a capped server, you can breed to well up and over 1k.
I got artefact of the clever erlier this day it only tok 20 rifle bulets 40 pistol amo and a raptor rip rampy
