    You are such an inspiration to me. I've started to setup my own little workshop a few years back, more wood orientated, but I love different projects too. Right now I'm making a fiberglass canoe. Also working on a scale model of a small boat that I designed myself and some other things too. I found your channel because I was making a knife, but I got addicted to the truck also. Can't wait to see more. Thank you, Kyle

    I like the orange (looks red on my iPad) contrasting against the black. A little bit of “pop”. Either way, looking forward to the continuation of the project.

    We had a similar lifting deal on our race car trailer for lifting an engine. I can see this getting a lot of use and saving your back!
    Like the Canadian Flag in the background.
    Take care Kyle

    I suggest framing the cameras with 1/8 (or thicker) metal strips that would act like the bumpers on a cell phone case and protect the cameras from anything banging or leaning, against them. You could even cut up and install screen protectors to cover the lenses.

    i was working down in phoenix and bought a 66 chevy c-10 with a steel flat bed and removable picket sides and back it had a crane with it, the boom was strapped to the bed when not in use and it went into a 6 inch hole with quarter inch steel tubing. from what the guy said who sold it to me it was an original grave yard truck and was used to place the cement boxes - coffin holders in the ground. it was a sweet truck, 3 on the tree and that boom crane with all the attachments, i used to make money with it on weekends driving around the desert roads picking up broke down motorcycles, it paid well, especially when cellphones first came out, not the brick phones but the first cheap flip phones

      Great story, Richard! Thank you for sharing. I got to enjoy some nice imagery while reading. I would love to make a little money with this truck when complete, just for the fun of it!

    • @richardmcginnis5344
      @richardmcginnis5344 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kyle_noseworthy it started out as just for fun with me then it got to a point that my phone rang 4-5 times a day on saturday and sunday when the weekend warriors were out riding and didn't know enough to bring extras like master links or a tube and some spoons, but it was still a fun thing to do, get out and take a ride to the lake or halfway there or something

      @@kyle_noseworthy it was until my sister got her divorce, then i was out of the spare room and had to live in it until i could sell it and move back here to Connecticut, but that's okay i sold it to a friend who carried on with it. it was a really nice truck to, factory air not one of those buy it afterwards air conditioners and it only had 28,000 miles on it since it stayed in the cemetery for most of its life, i bought it in 93 and had to sell it in 94

    Yes sir Dandy rig. Quite a few people in this way have similar ones on their atv trailers! I can imagine makes loading logs a breeze.

    You could have fabricated a mount for the crane for the camera to go on it.

    I have one very similar. You’re gonna want access to pop it off the truck when you’re not using it. Mine shakes and rattles and drives me crazy. It’s not a big deal to remove it until it’s needed though. Definitely a nice thing to have for when you need it.

  • @macedindu829

    This just now occurred to me, but since it's a Vandura, and you've stripped it down to the cab and chassis, you could call it "Jesse 'the Chassis' Vandura."

    When the jib can only do 500-1000lb why the stronger winch?

    • @kyle_noseworthy
      @kyle_noseworthy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would prefer the winch work as effortlessly as possible in any situation :-)
