You go boy, it feels like New York and it sounds like New York. Lots of keys clicking and no one getting through. I understood on the first try what’s the location: 41 precinct
@@79nyisle It's dangerous. The highest ranking on scene should be handling Comms because precious time is wasted asking people to repeat because everyone has to tie up air. This doesn't seem to happen everywhere else.
@@Michaelbos So you come up with a procedure to address this when critical incidents happen. Whether it's the dispatcher taking more control. Or someone on-scene being the radio person. Or a supervisor coming on the air and taking over. Or simply get to the cop to help him without talking on the radio. I know LAPD doesn't have as many people on one frequency, but they're not anywhere as near as chaotic as FDNY. I mean I'd even say the North Hollywood shootout was more controlled and disciplined that these smaller critical incidents! Someone fix this or it's going to get someone killed/injured/disabled (if it hasn't already multiple times)
Those "squelches" are MDC1200 Identifiers and repeater beeps. NYPD Radio is Full Duplex and they can talk over those sounds so absolutely zero is being tied up
Recovering Soul well so they who knows but the guy shot in the precinct would be the perfect perp to put blame on for the van shooting I’m just saying.......

The NYPD is the Greatest police department. But always have the worse radio procedure, even in normal times. They don’t speak plain English, it’s all codes and rubbish. Just speak simple English words.

@@79nyisle It should be. The injured officer's life often depends on an organized response and good communication
possums1010 , I know, but there are a lot, I mean a lot of cops working off a channel. Everyone try’s to talk at the same time.

10:4 on that, LOL.
No radio discipline whatsoever. Shambles. Compare this to other big departments, completely different culture.
IDK, It seems the BIGGER the department the WORSE radio is. (I think it's a "numbers" thing..)
Well, someone was shooting inside of a police station. Why would that be a calm situation?
Way too much yelling and no one taking control . Dispatcher was good.
