Civano Neighborhood Tucson Arizona

There’s a neighborhood in Southeast Tucson that is hard to forget. It’s nothing but purple, green , yellow and burnt orange colored homes? That neighborhood is called Civano
We're going to take a closer look on what makes Civano unique and why people from near and far want to call it home or their second home.
Civano subdivision was once The Master planned community of the year because It was truly the first of it’s kind and considered the future of residential real estate development--- all homes feature solar hot water heating, low-e windows, low-flow water fixtures, and other resource-efficiency measures that save homeowners 50 percent on electricity costs.
The site planning was unique as well. One such feature is you’ll see no garages from the street. All the garages are at the rear of the home and many are detached.
There’s were over 830 homes built from 1999 the last group was finished in 2012 & 2013 in North Ridge.
During that span 8 different builders followed Civano’s special requirements the last one being Pepper Viner who completed the 81 homes in the North Ridge neighborhood.
The homes in Civano range in size between 1200 square feet and go all the way up north of 4000 square feet. Over the last couple of years home values in Civano have ranged between $300,000 to as high as and $510,000.
The most popular size is a 2000 square foot three bedroom 2 bath one story with a large kitchen & spacious front porch.
Civano is located in the desirable Vail school district. There is Civano Community School which serves grades kindergarten through eighth. It has the feel of a Montessori school with about a dozen students for every 1 teacher. Right nearby is the Senita Valley elementary and Rincon Vista middle school the nearly new Mica Mountain High school is just a couple miles of way and you can open enroll at Cienega, Empire or Andrada Polytechnic High school.
Civano boasts several different amenities which include two pools, a tennis court, bocci ball area, community garden, playground with a massive soccer field and basketball court.
There's several businesses that call Civano home. A Dentist office, An Insurance Office, to the bakery, ballet rincon and the Civano nursery.
There are also plenty of Shopping and grocery stores, & Medical facilities as well. Such as: Fry’s, Target, Starbucks, Mr. Toro, New Civano Animal Hospital, TMC Rincon, & Northwest Hospital
A few nearby Restaurants are Saguaro Corners & Serial Grillers.
