I’ve lived in Tucson for 40 years. I drink tap water daily. My children, now adults with their own kids (all healthy) grew up drinking Tucson tap water. Perhaps you don’t like the taste if it’s different from what you’re used to. 🤷‍♀️ In any case, Bienvenida!

Hey, I also grew up in Minnesota, lived in Denver for 16 years, and now in Tucson. The desert can take awhile to adapt to, if you find yourself feeling lost for a bit. Welcome to Tucson, I hope you fall in love with her as I have.

Don't know where you get your information from but the water in Tucson is sourced from the Colorado River and several local groundwater wells. I was born in Tucson and have never had an issue drinking the water in 4 decades here. Neither have friends and family.

I have lived in Tucson my entire life and have never drank the water from the tap without a reverse osmosis to clean it. I have to add back in minerals with Real Salt. Its interesting to hear that people drink the tap water here bc everyone I know drinks from a RO system or buys water.

The main issue with Arizona water is that it is hard water, which is just a taste issue because of the high mineral content. Some people are used to it and like it. The chlorine to disinfect could also be a factor but most cities use chlorine. A water filter can help the taste. I would stay away from bottled water since the plastics that break down probably make it more dangerous.

If you live on the outskirts of Tucson in a nice community you don't see all the problems that Tucson has asked any police officer or paramedic or people that work in the community with people like bus drivers and they'll tell you the real thing what they see Tucson is not my Tucson that I knew years ago I've been here 55 years and it really needs a lot of improvement but it has a lot of good pluses too

Hello Jeanie and Vince! What a cool video of your two days at the beginning of your arrival to Tucson! First things first…we do need to do our visit down there and gauge the vibe for us. But…jumping forward, you have some great talking points here…….mainly, how to transition from one location to another- getting rid of the current house, moving furniture or starting over, go straight in to an offer for a place or to rent and check it out leisurely.
We will have the complete equity of our Ouray house as we paid it off 2 years ago. Our furniture is not Tucson- ish hehehehe. And another factor is my work transition. Fortunately, we do have our travel trailer to reside it somewhere; either in a new location while waiting for furniture or keep it in Colorado and stay in while I would finish out my time with the previous employer ( though, I do not want to incur a ton of time split up from my wife). With regards to the stuff we move, of course it is beneficial to do a point to point move, straight to a new place. We moved a lot in the military. Point to point is always beneficial (and cheaper). But…..it would be nice to not be in a rush to find a place. So…lots of variables! Thank you for highlighting these downtown spots! I can’t wait to park my f350 downtown to explore next week hehehehe
PS. Where was your rental? How long of a lease and how much, if you don’t mind me asking?
That was a really nice open house property you showed! Also, I appreciate your tip earlier this week about checking out open houses. We will have 1.8 weekends there; so should be able to see several.

There are nice and great things here to see (wildlife) and do even in the surrounding areas (Tubac/Tumacacori, Empire Ranch, Sonoita, etc.). However, there are things that these visitors need to know which are not so rosy. Just to name a few: Fourth worst drivers in that nation, the City of Tucson itself is not a safe city as it once used to be, not the best salaries/wages nor job opportunities, high home prices not unless you want to live in a apartment (not ideal), Democratic/liberal politics (look at the City of Tucson mayor, City council, etc.), struggling with T.P.D. retainment/other law enforcement agencies not having ample officers, roads and water issues. One cannot promote an area and not look at both sides of the coin (positives and more negatives), Furthermore, some of the people that have put there posts on here are from those Democratic states (Colorado for example) and need not bring their politics (left leaning), not unless they are conservative escaping those bad political landscapes. It is a great place to visit, but from one who has seen the boom and how it has not progressed (for decades), one must think twice before moving here. Again, please visit though, enjoy and be safe.

😂 you guys are hilarious! You make it sound like you are visiting another country! There is nothing wrong with the tap water in tucson. Besides it being hard water and precious. This is the desert, we don't have an infinite supply. I've lived here all my life is hot, it's dry, it's getting overcrowded, not enough groundwater for all the people that all the city councils seem to want to move here. Don't leave your taps on, don't grow a bunch of non-native green stuff out in your yard, don't water during the middle of the day. Tucson's tap water is fine. Just don't waste it.
