    Easy to adjist windage if the rifle happens to shoot to the left or right by tapping the rear sight with a dowel and hammer . Mark where the point of the rear sight is using masking tape and pen before adjusting. Only takes a hair to make a difference. Have the rifle wrapped in a thick towel to protect the wood stock and metal if using a table or bench. May require several attempts before finding the zero but worth it.

    Don't take it apart to clean.
    Unless you can buy a new one.
    Their is a big difference between a pre 64 and modern quality fit and finish and shooting . But all Winchester leavers I own never have broken. The Henry,Marlins or copies have Ben sent back to the manufacturer at least once under 20 rounds. I have Early 1900's Winchester's I shoot almost once a month for the past 30 years no problems but they do wear out with heavy use or exposure to the elements. Watch for rust.

    You are going to pay $1000 to $2500 for a new Winchester made in Japan or copies of Winchester's.
    Browning did not invent the level action. But the locking block togel system on that 94 he did.
    And that 94 is taped for a top scope. The empties will clear.
    Glad you are excited about that beautiful gun.
    I would take any Winchester lever over a Henry, Marlin, copies. Or AR

    Nice rifle! I also got my first 94 about a year ago. I paid $650, so you did pretty good.
    Yours is a pre safety, angled eject model. I believe that makes it very early 1980's production. Mine is top eject with no safety and it's made in 1980. You can look up the year it was made by the serial number.
    That's a good trade for an AR.
    Post the serial number, I lll look up when it's made for you. Or even just the first three digits of the serial. Its on the bottom of the reciever in front of the lever link.

  • @olhippie1
    @olhippie1 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    The gun you have is an early 1980's production "able eject" model thar because of the angle eject modification to the earlier model 94 design, acomidates the mounting of a scope sight directly over the receiver and bore. Those screw fillers you see on the top of the receiver are there to accept the scope base mounts.
    You need t learn more about your carbine since there is a lot of erroneous information in your video.

    That is a model 94 . The difference in the ranger and the more expensive model 94 is the type of wood used. It's birch or hardwood on the ranger and walnut on the more expensive model 94. Fit and finish is not as good with the ranger.
