2023 Peugeot Landtrek Driven - The Lifestyle Pickup For RM120k |

  • At RM120,000 it's clear that Peugeot is very serious with its new Landtrek. With 100,000km of stress testing completed and specifications finalised, the new Landtrek takes aim at the meaty centre of the Malaysian pickup segment, offering a (relatively) fully-loaded alternative to the pared back Japanese and American competitors.
With Chinese bones and French flair, we believe the new Landtrek has what it takes to upset the scales here in Malaysia, and drove to Sekinchan to find out.

With that smart face, neat interior and no-frills powertrain, I think Peugeot & Changan should seriously consider making a 3-row version of this truck to rival the Fortuner and Everest

Given Stellantis' 'one at a time' approach with the Landtrek, anything beyond that would be dependent on the response the truck receives in the ASEAN market.

Wow first video in Malaysia / Asia that covers about this Landtrek. I can't find other Malaysian medias in TH-cam who talk about this, I wonder why. Great job bro. 👍

With the price of RM120k it does wins against other pickups that have the same engine capacity (DMax, BT50) or other China made pickups. Premium looks inside and out, leather seats, 2 memory front seats, 360 camera, and 18" wheels with almost comfort setups suspension (from what I watched from other reviewers from South Africa). The only thing that lacks are the wireless charging pad (because the competitors already equip with it as standard nowadays) and wireless apple carplay / android auto; even the basic Ranger XL got those. I've searched some dealers in KL/Selangor yesterday but they haven't got a showroom / test drive unit yet.

Not really , the full spec Dmax 1.9 is around that price , buts its an Isuzu with reputable reliability and service centres everywhere....i wd have liked the price to be less than competition not same...unless they are not really aiming for any numbers...

Just a simple opinion…should have thrown the price to get back the sales in numbers…

As long as Peugeot doesn't do something about their after sales service and also the lack of spare parts, then a lot of people are going to stay away from the brand itself.

      1. Peugeot aftersales has improved to the point used Peugeot prices have started rising as a result, so your information is outdated.
      2. Stellantis maintains its own plant and parts distribution centre here in Malaysia that services the region. So your information is outdated.
      3. Peugeot's sales of its current models (2008, 3008, 5008) have exceeded their expectations. So your information is inaccurate.

@henri kasijo it's not about don't know anything but rather an already spoiled reputation. If Peugeot really wants more people to buy their cars, then they will need to give some sort of spare parts guaranty, and after sales service guarantee as well.
Talk is cheap, and you can condemn people like me without knowledge as much as you want, but the fact will always remain that it will be difficult to garner consumer trust all over again. Otherwise, Peugeot would be the number 1, 2, or 3 car brand in Malaysia.
This is what happens when people like you become keyboard warriors. 🙄

@@KC_88631 why do you expect the so called spoiled reputation to be removed in an instant? do you own the new 2008, 3008 or 5008? because i do. and i've seen worse after sales from proton and honda compared to bermaz. what after sales guarantee do you expect honestly? they give 5 years of warranty and service, 5 years to get your issues resolved if you have any. from what i've seen peugeot warranty or service claims are resolved mostly by 3 months. that's earlier than what proton can give you

@@InnerFire6213 Yes I actually owned the older generation 208 and now the newer generation 2008. Thinking that the past it the past and things will improve but I was wrong!
So what do you have to say now?
