Ok, so for the people who were confused what this song is about: In Romanian myth and folklore there is this legend of Prince Negru Vodă who had the wish to build the most impresive monastery in the country, so he hired Master Manole, one of the best mason of those times. Because the walls of the monastery were continuously crumble, the Prince threatened to kill Manole and his workers. Desperate about the way construction went, one night Manole had a dream in which he was told that, for the monastery to be built, he had to incorporate into its walls some person very loved by him or his masons. He told his masons about his dream, and they agreed that the first wife who would come there with lunch for her husband the following day should be the one to be built into the walls of the monastery so that their art would last. The next day, Manole looked over the hills and sadly saw his wife, Ana (who was pregnant), coming from afar. He prayed to God to start rain and storm in order for her to stop her trip or go back home. As her love was stronger than the storm, she came to her husband. Manole had to keep his promise and started building walls around her body. And that was how the beautiful monastery was built.
STONE BY STONE I have plans big plans I'm going to build you a house Every stone will be a tear And you'll never move out again Yes I'm going to build a little house for you With no windows no doors It'll be dark inside No light will get in at all Yes I'll make you a home And you are to be a part of it all Stone by Stone I wall you in Stone by Stone I'll always be with you Without clothes without shoes You watch me working With your feet in cement You brighten up the foundation Outside there will be a garden And no one will hear you scream Stone by Stone I wall you in Stone by Stone I'll always be with you I'll always be with you What a pounding what a hammering Outside it starts to get dark All of the nails stand at attention When I ram them into your body-wood Stone! Stone by Stone I wall you in Stone by Stone I wall you in Stone by Stone I wall you in Stone by Stone and nobody will hear you scream
I literally listen to Rammstein while doing gym I hear what you saying 😅 And yes I agree Vokerball is their best eve concert. Probably Rammstein Paris and The Rammstein in Amerika in MSG are the 2 next best live performances from them in that order.
Great reaction thanks for sharing this with us!💪🏼 It's going to be long but I have to share this with you: I read someone who gave his point of view from that song one day, who said that here Till is maybe talking about the wall that separated Germany in 2 in 1961, and that Till was locked up on the GDR side from his birth until the wall fell, hence the reference to "I would build a wall around you" "You will be part of the concrete" etc. the person also noted the fact that Till speaks of a "garden" but no one will be able to hear him shout: also a reference to the wall that separated the 2 sides of Germany and therefore the "garden" is the other side of the wall. Personally, since i noticed that, it touches me even more and I feel more pain for Till (and the other members of course) and all Germans, than to think that it's a simple story of a madman locking someone up, The fact that he would refer to the wall is not impossible and finally the person locked up in the story is him, and all the Germans walled from 1961 to 1994! Which might also explain the fact that Till left without finishing the song at the end because he wasn’t able to do it or whatever.. Needed to tell you this point of view and these details that are rarely noticed! Thank you, see you in the next video😊 (Sorry if my english is weird it's not my native langage😅)
This is an interesting and dark perspective that I had not previously considered regarding this song. Thanks for sharing this. This is one of the things that I really love about (good quality) reaction videos for Rammstein generally; the ability to discuss with other people from all over the world different interpretations, hidden meaning, favourite versions and so on. This way different ideas are shared that one might not reach without an external catalyst. Also your English is excellent! Don't need to apologise! 👍🏼☮️
@@theinvisibleneonrainbowzeb2567 I agree with you, that's what I also love about reaction videos, sometimes it's very interesting to see people's reaction/point of view and see things from another perspective! And I'm glad I was able to give another perspective to this song which I find is rarely "analyzed" deeply! Thank you for responding and sharing your opinion under my comment 😊 Have a great day/night✌🏻
Loved your reaction! Never apologize for wanting to rewind certain parts and listen again. I have np with that... I'm the one who has rewound and listened/watched the same parts to certain songs up to like 15 times or more!! So for me I'm more than happy to watch you rewind, relisten and react to Rammstein 😍 I must say I was getting a little discouraged that you weren't showing any live performances but now you've made it to my list of top 10 favorite Reactions to Rammstein channels 🙂❤️
Had Völkerball on dvd until it was stolen during a party. Gdm I miss that dvd. "Till doesnt work out"...well before Rammstein he was an elite swimmer, one of the best in Europe.
Er hat auch schon viele Konzerte und Videos von Rammstein kommentiert. Man sieht ihm die Begeisterung an, er kann nicht genug von Rammstein bekommen, was verständlich ist. Es geht mir genauso. Ob Konzert oder Video!!!
it's cool you doing these re-views, and especially revisiting older performances because Rammstein are just incredible and sometimes I do forget to go back and listen to different versions, you know? i think because I got into their music so much at a young age, around '98, and first saw them live in 2001 I didn't really fully comprehend how wonderful and deep their work is. But I know now, decades later, (and a lot of research etc) how many layers of nuance and wordplay and intelligence and thought and effort and just straight up awesomeness I was missing out on back as a teenager! It was hard enough to just find their work, this was not the same internet - or world - as today. Back then it was not easy to track down new releases, or info etc. So revisiting some of their earlier work with an adults perspective is brilliant tbh!
Did you notice this time that the band name is hidden in the lyrics? An interesting double meaning has the line, "Outside it begins to dawn." On the one hand, "dawn" has the same meaning as in English, but it can also mean that someone has "a dark idea of what is going on".
I agree that the song is actually about the iron curtain and Berlin Wall. If you notice that the venue is set in a stone walled arena. This combo I believe explains why it seems that Till has a slight emotional moment at the end and Richard notices and covers for him with a riff until he recovers.
I like your reactions. Check out some other Rammstein songs. Rammstein - Weisses Fleisch (Live at Madison Square Garden) Lindemann - Blut (Live Moskow) Rammstein - Keine Lust (Official Video) Rammstein - P u s s y (Official Video or Live) Lindemann - Steh auf (Live Moskow) Lindemann - Ich hasse Kinder (Official Video) Lindemann - Praise Abort (Official Video or Live Moskow) Lindemann - Golden Shower (Live Moskow) Have a nice day.
He works out every day. He was once almost a professional swimmer.
Thank you for another great reaction to another awesome Rammstein performance 💖🔥🤘🏻💯

I think, thats one way to see it or to understand it, but imo that Not what the Song was about tho. Or did they mentioned it in some Interview ?
U stupid. It has emotional background.. think about it.
Holy shit that’s deep…
STONE BY STONE

Every stone will be a tear
And you'll never move out again
Yes I'm going to build a little house for you

And you are to be a part of it all
Stone by Stone I wall you in
Stone by Stone
I'll always be with you
Without clothes without shoes
You watch me working
With your feet in cement
You brighten up the foundation
Outside there will be a garden
And no one will hear you scream
Stone by Stone I wall you in
Stone by Stone
I'll always be with you
I'll always be with you
What a pounding what a hammering
Outside it starts to get dark
All of the nails stand at attention
When I ram them into your body-wood
Stone!
Stone by Stone I wall you in
Stone by Stone I wall you in
Stone by Stone I wall you in
Stone by Stone and nobody will hear you scream
Vølkerball, one of their best concerts ❤

you know there's a hidden wordplay in this song, but you can only get it in German :)
Great Song! and Great Reaction!👍
(Völkerball (Nimes) and MSG are fantastic Concerts for me)

Awesome reaction! Plz react to the whole Völkerball setup @ Nimes, it's consistently at this high energetic level.
When Till said "DRrrrrrAUßEN" oooh the chills I got 🤤

yes, like in English too it can be "the dawn of a new day", or it can also mean a darker "It slowly dawned on her what was happening"
@@theinvisibleneonrainbowzeb2567 Wow. Interesting. Thanks for the enlightenment.
This has got to be about their life in East Germany, behind the wall, cut off from the world.

He does work out and he use to be a competitive swimmer
Excellent reaction!
