At Georgia's largest private school south of Atlanta, administrators, faculty and staff have done away with the traditional P.E. program in favor of something different.
"We were looking for a better way to promote fitness with our kids," says Chris Spurlock, middle-school assistant principal at Savannah Christian Preparatory School.
The school has begun incorporating CrossFit to "huge" results.
"We just made the commitment we were going to go ahead and better our entire P.E. program by committing to CrossFit," Spurlock says. "Our kids are engaged. They're seeing improvement, confidence builds. For us, this is the prefect program."
CrossFit Kids co-creator Jeff Martin says he and his wife, Mikki, were pleased to see the school's program was just like those found at CrossFit affiliates.
"This is what you see in a CrossFit Kids gym-kids giving this kind of effort, this kind of engagement," he says. "It's the same. And I think that's even more-to us-more profound than anything else."

Wish I had this when I was in school
great program....
Alright. Does that apply for swimming as well or does He simply not allow that?
Sorry, I'm from Sweden, educated engineer and atheist and choose to see the practical problems..
All that aside you seem to have a nice school and the crossfit concept is great. Keep it up!

I disliked it because the principal guy had a horribly ill fitting jacket.
Why are they running around in skirts and chinos? No time to change cloths for gym?
