Where were teachers like this when I was growing up?! I spent years playing "catch up" for physical fitness. I would have loved to have this when I was in school. I hope this program takes off all over the country.
David Hodges I'm curious about your location. My son was part of this program for many years and still works with Pete now that he's in high school. In November he'll be in Cusco with his Spanish class and his class project is comparing US diet/fitness to rural Peruvian diet/fitness. I'm sure he'd love any info you could share!
Hi I´m from Mexico and I think to attack the problem of obesity in this level is a great alternative for the kids to give them another option for a healthier life. Mexico is in first place in infant obesity so I decide to do something and work with kids and teens. It has been little difficult but I´m not going let this because I really believe in this project. Thanks for this
Well in that case... :) I would still bet that there is a low rate of depression, grades are above average and behavior problems are rare. I love the idea, especially the tabata break!
It's a fabulous school. Great community that accepts everyone and integrates all abilities. Pete is a great inspiration and has been such a positive role model not in just our family but in so many families in Hartland. We are truly blessed.
I think that is so great. My family is made up almost entirely of teachers (including myself) and my mother was a special education teacher for her entire career. I love that the adaptability of CrossFit is being fully implemented with all of these kiddos. Congrats and thanks to you and your community! Best wishes in the future.
