When you are young you prefer to live in the city to explore the city, but when you get older you prefer to live in the province have a simple life and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Not really when you're old a cbd is the most convenient and less lonelier. When you're old you can hardly hop on a car and drive far and do anything go anywhere... mobility and boredom becomes an issue.
If you do research you will see many aging societies like Japan are actually migrating towards city centers.

Your dad is quite right in choosing the province as an ideal place to live in when you are a Senior Citizen. The point in living outside a highly urbanized city is simple living, fresh air and serenity.

Technically, 'Bonifacio Global City' is not a city by geography. It is a township project inside Taguig City, one of the cities in Metro Manila. BGC is like the Central Business District of Taguig City just as Ayala is to Makati and Ortigas Center is to Pasig. But yeah, it is one of the best commercial/business centers in the metropolis. Glad you enjoyed it there.

The hype is too much. I work in one of those IS schools once upon a time. The place is nice. But how is that better than Rockwell and the Commercial centers of Cebu, Ilo ilo and Bacolod?

BGC Taguig in Manila, It is a European side of Manila where you can find Venice Grand Canal Mall, One of the most popular shopping malls for tourists and locals, the Venice Grand Canal Mall is filled with shops, restaurants and live entertainment.
The Burgos Circle is the perfect place to explore if you’re after a hip restaurant in a relaxing atmosphere.
You can grab a quick lunch at a bistro, enjoy casual dining for dinner or spoil yourself at various dessert shops.
High Street Café, Voted as one of the best restaurants by most visitors in BGC, the High Street Cafe serves a variety of authentic Asian food.
Mercato Centrale, If you’re after a different vibe and want a quick bite, visit Mercato Centrale in BGC. There are plenty of street food options and you can casually sit in the public areas to enjoy the snack.

Hmm... not really Europe. I've been to every capital cities in Europe even to Madrid and Barcelona, Malaga, Fuengirola, Ibiza and the Canaries in Spain. Frankfurt, maybe close or Canary Wharf in London is almost the same. Nothing like that in Vienna or Budapest or Prague. BGC is similar to Singapore I must say or the city centre of Sydney, maybe like La Trobe in Melbourne, Australia. BGC is even more dense building wise compared to Auckland, New Zealand. Even the famous Puerto Madero in Buenos Aires, Argentina doesn't come close to BGC and BA is the most European city in South America. Even Sandton in Johannesburg where I was 2 weeks ago has less skyscrapers than BGC and Makati. Ayala in Makati on the other hand is like New York since the buildings are close to one another.

Surprised about BGC equates underestimating the Philippines capability to progress. Filipinos are intelligent and able to develop their country into world class. It’s an emerging economy on its way to become a developed country. Many conservative Europeans like the new Manila or BCG because it is newly developed world class city. This area has been developed by private companies. The national government has nothing to do with BCG and other newly developed areas such as BGC or Makati.

00:13 BGC is not in Manila. BGC is in Taguig which is a city by itself just like Manila. However, both Taguig and Manila are part of "Metro Manila" which is the old but still popular name of the National Capital Region (NCR). Altho the "C" in BGC is "City", it is not actually a city by law definition. It is a business district in Taguig City.
Pls help spread correct info about our geography. With the increasing popularity of PHL to foreigners, we do not want our welcome visitors to end up in unintended places, or resent paying our taxi drivers a small fortune due to an honest misunderstanding.

It depends on your budget, if you have the money and budget then you can live in an urbanized city like BGC, Makati ect but if not then go to the province for younger generations but for Senior Citizens better live in the province and visit BGC, Makati ect 😎

For old ppl actually living in a CBD is most convenient and less lonely.
When you're young and can do anything go anywhere then provinces are good bec you don't have mobility issues yet.
And you still have many friends.
As one gets older, driving to and from is an issue, loneliness sets in , also you tend to lose friends either by nature or choice.
That's why living in a CBD becomes a good option then. Everything is just a short walk/exercise away.
And it doesn't get eerily quiet 24/7... which is what causes depression among older ppl.
Japan is a prime example. There are many studies re this.
      Best regards
