    ALASKA is a formidable presence. It's beauty draws you in and fills your soul. It is fierce, it is always a part of you ,it will never leave you , drawing you back again and again. But you must never take Alaska for granted. It seduces you with it's endless majesty,yet it can take your life if you don't respect it. We were blessed to live and work there twice. It was unforgettable. The northern lights in the winter were stunning. We hope to return one more time.

      I completely agree with you - Alaska is a place that stays with you forever!

    Actually, I recommend filling up for gas as often as possible because sometimes places are out of gas or may be closed for the season when you arrive. Also, you never know if you might come across an accident or some road block or construction that take up more fuel than you anticipated. One last thing to consider is that by purchasing fuel in those extremely remote locations, you are supporting the local economy and people there. Thanks for all your videos! They’re fun to watch!

    Your videography is amazing with just the right amount of narration. You allowed the viewer to share your journey by what you were seeing and experiencing instead of forcing us to watch you narrate like so many TH-camrs. We are going to make the trip to Alaska in a couple years. Keep up the great videos and safe journey!

      We still can’t believe it happened 🫢 thank you! TH-cam can be strange, pushing some channels out for more to see & others they just don’t. So it really means a lot 💛 glad to have you on this journey!

      Yes! In July with the midnight sun when the flowers are blooming it’s so gorgeous. Not the same anymore as we were driving back. No more flowers and no more midnight sun 🥲

    Great videos! Somehow the Cassiar Highway video popped into my TH-cam feed, so I'm watching your whole Alaska series. When I was a kid I spent many summers in north-central British Columbia, and I've wanted to drive to Alaska and back since the 1970's when the Alcan was gravel and the Cassiar was just getting built. I think in the next few years I might actually make it happen even though my wife doesn't want to go along. I've watched quite a few other "drive to Alaska" videos and yours are very comfortable to watch - you edit so the trip goes at a nice pace.

      Thank you! Summer 2024 is as good a time as any to go to Alaska 😃 I like that it’s mostly paved now. We did the Dalton and McCarthy roads and the gravel gets old real quick. But the 70s was a cool time to be in Alaska with the pipeline being built and all. Hope you do the drive sooner than later!

      That’s the Sign Post Forest in Watson Lake, Canada. Started in 1942 by a homesick American GI, he put up a sign of his hometown and people have been adding since 😃 thank you! There will be some more wild animals to come! Thanks for watching our journey! 🥰

    During these long rides do y’all just pull over anywhere to bed down for the night ? Or did you book camp grounds ?

    • @NickandJulie
      @NickandJulie  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We pulled over anywhere. We did not book campgrounds on this trip except in Jasper and Banff National Parks as it’s illegal to boondock there.
