Can confirm this works. I usually ask "What would you think is the right thing to do?". Most of the time they already know the answer.

I'm in insurance sales and doing this with customers will also decrease the chance of them shopping around as it makes the quoting process a hassle for them to answer questions 70% of the time. People are not that patient and they rather go with whatever they find after 1 or 2 calls (decreasing your chance of losing them to a competitor)
