judging a manager on a few matches is naive and short sighted, and causes far more problems than solutions.
we were always going to go through tough spells no matter the manager, and EH has done wonders to get us through those slumps.
truly, what EH did with the team in his first 3 months proved to me he could get any team going, couple that with the culture he created almost immediately means I would give EH all the leeway in the world

Great show lads and fantastic research and analysis from Alex!

Great presentation Alex, interesting point about Ligue 1 beng the best and most succesful League where EPL greats have originated, Drogba, Ginola, Saha, Petit the list is endless then for us in recent times Bruno G, Botman. Would call it now in entire EPL history Ligue 1 is the most successful origin of successful EPL players.

Any transfer is a risk, but I'd rather sign high potential, hungry players that will give everything for the badge than prima donnas on £300,000 a week. Just look at the manure

Hiya Paul, Its good that Newcastle are getting these Centre halves from France, there not as dear as English Centre Halves, but just as good, I was watching one of your vlogs, you said "Under Bruce, we signed these players full of optimism and hope, and they turned out to be poo", I was howling for about 10 minutes", hopefully Newcastle can get players in January, this is Choppy

I like these 3 options. Khusanov looks interesting although can't imagine Prem refs liking him fly in to the tackles like that 😬 he would have fit in nicely in the 70s 😂

0:04 Another gem from Troy Deeney and his team of week on the BBC website, 3 Toon players in Dubraka, Schar, and Big Joe. Schar solid game neat and tidy, not known for being a good footballer, priceless. As for transfers, every man and his dog are linked, even the dog. Treat everything with a dollop of scepticism

Kusanov would be a great signing. Fingers crossed

I think khusanov is a nice defender for Newcastle fc but I saw Romano's post and In my opinion he will go to Man city 🤦🏻‍♂️

only issue with khusanov would be the language barrier and the suspicious fact that he has just hired a new agent. as we know, our name gets used by players and agents to drum up interest. not to mention our psr situation. people forget addidas money wont be included in previous 3 years numbers yet...and the summer we bought isak, botman etc will still be in the 3 years.

Sort of feels like the transfer market in general is beginning to shrink. I have a hunch that £90m-£100m+ signings being a regular thing in every window, even amongst the cartel, are already becoming a thing of the past. Could the PSR rules brought in specifically to prevent us (and even Villa etc.) from spending actually start having a negative effect on the "Big Six"? Looks like Man U won't be able to spend in the next couple of windows unless they can get massive fees for some of their flops. I'd love to see potential financial breaches play a major part in their continued downfall and the Premier League left with loads of egg on their faces.

These transfer shows are great. I just no longer bother even trying to find out who we are being linked with and just get some proper intel from here

Interested to have Stats review Nicolas Kuhn link. Miggy straight swap deal? Scottish league is poor but his numbers look a step above the rest, young, plenty to develop especially under Eddie. Worth a look?

The TOON should snap Alex up! Great stats man. Take me back to dodgy Dan Gardener, Ashworth. Who would you rather have to take the club to the next level? Dan snipping his Roses back & getting leaves all over his Laptop? Or ALEX. PUTTING, INTELLIGENCE AND BRAIN GRAFT, IN FOR JUST LOVE OF THE CLUB. Well done lads. EXCELLENT WORK. NO BRAINER

My REALISTIC transfer windows that I would be happy with:
    Jan 2025
    Buy
CB: Khusanov (£20m from RC Lens)
    Sell
    Miggy (~£8m)
    June 2025
    Buy:
    GK: Hermansen (£25m from Leicester)
GK: Forster (£500k from Spurs - we need more Club Trained players if we qualify for Europe).
    RB: Kyle Walker Peters (Free)
    RW: Dibbling (£40m from Southampton)
    CF: DCL (Free)
    Sell:
    CF: Wilson (Free)
    GK: Dubravka (Free)
    RB: Trippier (£8m)
    LB: Targett (£8m)
    LB: Lewis (£1m)
    CB: Lascelles (Free)
CM: Hayden (Sell for Nothing/ Pay him off for 6 months)
    GK: Ruddy (Free)
    GK: Gillespie (Free)
    GK: Vlachadimos (£7m)
    Loan: Osula
If I could change one player on the list it would be DCL for Gyokores (dream - £60m) or Jonathan David (Free - hard because bigger clubs are interested). Gyokores would be a marquee signing and I have a feeling we might try and make one again if we qualify for the CL. I don't see us spending more than £120m net so the marquee signing would be £60m tops.
This would give us a really strong squad for next season if we manage to keep everyone:
    GK: Hermansen, Pope, Forster
    LB: Hall, Kelly
CB: Burn, Botman, Schar, Khusanov, Krafth
    RB: Livramento, KWP
CM: Joelinton, Bruno, Tonali, Willock, Longstaff, Miley
    LW: Gordon, Barnes
    RW: Dibbling, Murphy
    CF: Isak, DCL
That's 24 players and we can't add any more if we qualify for Europe as we are limited to 21 non club trained players. We need to leave 1 blank spot for a club-trained player as the above squad only has 3 (Miley, Longstaff, Forster) when you need a minimum of 4.

  • @toon_doc4282
    @toon_doc4282 7 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

Nobody outside the club has any idea of what is available to spend until full accounts are available. Even then we have no insight into pending commercial deals. That said, we know regardless we need to offload some dead weight. 1.Miggy 2.Longstaff 😢3.Taggart should get 35/40 million. Longstaff is a PL ready 1st teamer for a lot of clubs so could fetch 30 mill in this market, at least. Add that to maybe £50M should let us get what we need. A RW starter plus Khusanov. Time for Mr Mitchell to show everyone what he's worth to us. Hopefully he can give Eddie exactly what he needs to get us into 2nd/3rd place finish. THE FUTURE IS BRIGHT THE FUTURE IS TOON 😝

    • @phoenixfire6559
      @phoenixfire6559 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

Longstaff will not be sold in January. 100% GUARANTEED! If we don't qualify for Europe and have PSR issues then he may be sold but if we qualify for Europe he will NOT be sold.
Why? Because there are FOUR spots for club-trained players and he is the ONLY club-trained player we have. Before you say, what about Miley and co, well, Miley and the others like him are under 21 so don't need to be registered as part of the 25-man squad. As such, if we sold Longstaff we could only register 21/25 players for the Champions League. Last time we left 2 spots blank (registered Longstaff and Dummett while Miley and Anderson were young enough to not need a spot). Our squad wasn't strong enough then and we will be far worse off if we sold a EPL-proven player like Longstaff.
I would go as far as to say we would need to sell four of our keepers (keep Pope) and then buy Woodman or Forster back for cheap as the third choice as they are club-trained. We may need to look at getting one more club trained player as we are short. Maybe a cheeky bid for Toney? :P

His head has totally turned. To us, a champions league team (🤞🏼). He hasn't become a shit player overnight. He's still a good footballer.
But yes. I agree. I wouldn't now. Defo not at £70mil!

Khusanov looks like a good player but 20 years ld for a centre half is very young, that would be my only reservation.

The funny thing is. Overall PIF have done nothing that mike Ashley couldn't of done if he didn't bother sucking the soul out the club. Glad he's gone but it's puts into perspective how much more there is to come from PIF

    • @phoenixfire6559
      @phoenixfire6559 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

That's not true. The PIF have sunk £35M in cash injections every season for the past 3 years. That's £105m in 'losses' (which will be converted to equity if we're getting fancy), that was purely so Newcastle would have more to spend - in reality, the PIF will not get that £105m back ever. Fat cat Ashley would never throw £100m down the drain and the PIF will continue pumping in the free £35m every season until we (hopefully) become like Man City (who did the exact same thing until a couple of seasons ago when they became self-sustaining).

The kind of negativity that you would associate with the SMB‘s!
What is wrong with some of these plastic fans! Take your head for a wobble. PIF said between 5-10 years for success. But most fans thought it would happen within 2-3?? Even if it takes another 5 years (10 transfer windows), selling one or two of our best players… we will get there. Sometimes you move back to move forwards, but we are getting there. Comparing it to Ashley era is the most plastic thing I’ve ever heard!

    • @markyNUFC80

@smanvir94 not at all mate. My point is simply sometimes we may have to sell a big ticket player to progress. Isak is unreal. His dribbling ability is nuts, and I genuinely don't know how he keeps the ball at his feet. I was only pointing out to this nice gentleman that the club comes first for once, which is diametrically opposed to the Ashley days lol
